My daughter and I are on our last day of vacation here in Rochester. We came to Mel's Diner for breakfast. The food was really good, the service was great, and the staff was friendly.
UPDATE- Just had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and it was really good! Nicely breaded and a super big wrap. Mac Salad reigns supreme!
I’ve known about Mel’s Diner ever since I was little, as I grew up in Greece. I also used to work at the ESL that’s across the street from them as well!
The corned beef hash is awesome, flavorful and has a really good texture! (I’m really picky about my corned beef hash! I hate soggy hash!)

The food was very tasty. The grits did need a little salt. The staff and service was excellent. The prices were affordable. Our orders were taken in a timely matter. We had 12 people. It's usually 15. Thank you for your kind service and well cooked food. From The Roc Breakfast Club.
