Located on the second floor of Legacy Tower overlooking the Wintergarden, Monroe's at One is a full restaurant in the heart of downtown. The service was attentive and their cheeseburger is the among best in the area. The tomato soup is also outstanding. With a list of daily $8 features, this is one of my new favorite lunch spots.

A unique spot and atmosphere. The food was great even though we had a very large party. Everything came out on time and tasted good.

Lunch cafe has repeatedly been disappointment. DO NOT eat here unless you want to give them multiple attempts to make an order along with waiting and over paying. Call the cooks out on a mistake get rude comments back. I can say that there is now 3 times in a row that I have had problems with my order. All three orders were a a chicken wrap with the side salad. The first time instead of chicken the wrap had crutons... The 2nd time I ordered and then waited 20 minutes while people who ordered after me got the same identical order. When I mentioned it to the cook I was given a rude "we are busy it takes time, you have to wait your turn" and when I said they ordered the same thing long after me I got a blank stare then my food 2 minutes after. The 3rd time I order a brownie as well. To be safe I asked if it was in the bag was told yes. I ran to my lunch meeting only to find they forgot the side salad that always comes with the wrap... they can't keep simple orders straight and to this point I have over paid multiple times because of missing or wrong items....

This is a terrific little place. I work in the building so it is very convenient to me. It's classy but not pretentious, service is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. The portions are very generous and everything I've had there has been outstanding.
I love bringing guests here for lunch.
