Staff was very nice but not very effective. I asked for an agua fresca with no ice and brought one drowning in ice. I asked if chilaquiles could be red, I was told no, but they actually brought me red chilaquiles. All this would be fine if the food was good. The chilaquiles were soo average. Wouldn't come back for chilaquiles. Maybe other dishes are better? Not sure, but I feel less inclined to come back. Disclosure: I'm mexican, my standards are tough. Maybe for a less demanding public those chilaquiles would have been good.

We had an amazing experience here. The staff was sooo sweet with the kids, and very patient. They went out of their way to interact and comfort our baby that was getting bored while we ate & talked with our other littles too. The manager/owner, i believe, came around the restaurant making sure everyone was satisfied with their service. The food tasted and felt fresh, could've been a bit hotter/warmer, but tasted delicious! Music and decor wasn't overwhelming, as I've read in another review. Old reviews do not reflect the experience we had today! Highly recommend checking out this small business!

I """USED""" to love this place. I went out of my way to take my daughter there....told her how great it was. SO VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!! We didn't even eat it. I had 2 bites....my chili releno taste like it was hamburger, salsa and spaghetti sauce mixed together. A Huge Waste Of Time AND Money!!!! It Was Awful.
Great experience at Monte Alban!! Our waitress (Claudia) was phenomenal, and all of the other staff was so attentive. There food was delicious and quick!
