I run a foundation in the city and everyone agreed they wanted Mexican to celebrate our Friday.. I visited nenos I walked in and had three employees, two women one man all look at me and keep gossiping. There was also a strange smell in the restaurant that was very pungent. I love a great fun atmosphere but this was just laziness and we're giving our business to Adelitas all the way in Pittsford, a further drive but worth being acknowledged. Crazily enough I was the only customer in the entire restaurant.

This is one of my regular restaurants in Rochester! Their food is soo good! Their tofu tacos have soo many components in them but they all come together really well!

WOW! Excellent service, delicious food, fun decor ... what more could we ask for! My husband and I visited on a Taco Tuesday and our server Hannah was amazing. We started with house margaritas that had a sugar rim. They were very refreshing and there were fresh blueberries in his drink. When we asked for a sampler of dipping items for our corn tortillas, Hannah was quick to let us know she would "hook us up with all the things!" The kitchen did not disappoint. We had hot, melted queso; salsa Verda and Roja; along with guacamole. The street tacos were also filled with flavor and my personal fav was the Al pastor tacos. We got the special deal of the day which was 4 tacos for the price of 3. It was memorable and we would highly recommend! Viva Taco Tuesday!

Just ate here yesterday with my daughter. Probably the 3rd time I've eaten here. But this time was phenomenal. My daughter had the birria tacos and I had the fish tacos. Fridays you get an extra fish taco, so I got 4 instead of the regular 3. And the birria tacos come 4 to an order. The prices were in line with what I expected for this kind of food. I could only eat 2 fish tacos and one of the birria. The quality of the food is amazing. Fresh veg and the taste of the protein's are soooo good. The food came out within 10 minutes. The decor made me feel like I was sitting in a small town in Mexico. Please support local businesses. Starting with this one.

The food here is unbelievably good. The drinks are also really good. Staff and restaurant are really nice. The kind of place you can bring friends or family to, it's good either way. I'm obsessed with their birria tacos.

Hanging out in Webster then headed to U of R to grab my nephew for a little din din he wanted Mexican. My sister was with us too and she remembered Neno's. We arrived it's very bright inside but it was really nice. Nothing over the top. Seated right away which for a Saturday night it was great. We ordered the chicken empanadas for an appetizer. They were delicious came with two dipping sauces that I couldn't decide which I liked better. More of a meal than an appetizer they were huge! We also ordered birria tacos. They came 4 on the plate so tasty! Nice and crispy loaded with delicious meats, and some cheese. My nephew ordered a burrito can't remember the name on the menu. It was massive! Covered with different sauces he devoured it! Definitely will be back!

Just ate at Neno's Gourmet Mexican Street Food restaurant on Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY and my two friends, husband and I loved EVERYTHING about this place. The food was excellent...A+, the service fantastic, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. One of the best dining experiences in recent years. Loved Neno's Gourmet Mexican Street Food so much that my husband brought home some of their hot sauce to enjoy, as well as, two gift cards for our Secret Santa grab bag. We will definitely be returning in the near future and suggest to family and friends that they check out Neno's too.
Had the Barria tacos and Beef and cheese empanada's. Food was delicious and the presentation was great!

The chicken Empanadas were unedible and cold. It tastes like disgusting fryer grease and smell even worse. The Chicken molae enchiladas were also cold. The three milk cake was delicious.

Food- Ordered Queso to start, I didn't dig it but the hubby liked it. He had the Mole Veggie enchiladas and I had the Fried green tomato sandwich and both of us were beyond happy with our meals!! They have bottled Mexican Coca~Cola. Service- Very nice and attentive server. Ambiance- typical Mexican decor (murals on the wall and colorful banners hung). Not a very big place. Parking is on Monroe Avenue or a side street.

We had a great dinner at Neno's on a Saturday! The restaurant is pretty unassuming along the Monroe strip mall. Parking is not easy, but there's a lot of side streets you can park on and walk over. The inside of the restaurant is colorfully decorated with beautiful murals on the walls. The staff is super nice and is committed to an authentic mexican cuisine experience. The restaurant is also super clean, the floor and tables are spotless! We of course ordered the chips, guac and salsa. Their chips are deliciously crispy. The guac is nice and creamy. Their salsa is super interesting. It's more like a dipping broth, it was served warm. Don't expect your chunky tomato salsa. When I asked about the salsa, they mentioned they can make it spicier for me, and also offered me pico and the green salsa. All three items were soooooo yummies. Everything was spicy exactly like how I requested. Love the awesome service. For entree my husband got the red snapper and I got the birria tacos. The snapper dish is sooooo good and refreshing. It was fried to a crispy skin texture but the inside was still soft and moist. It wasn't fishy at all. The rice accompaniment and the salad was really well done and did not overpower the fish. For $25 we thought this was a steal. My birria tacos were pretty good. It's definitely not a punch in the face flavor sort of dish. It's more savory and rich. The tacos were a perfect vessel for the delicious sauces they had on the table. Overall, a great meal and even though we've been to Neno's multiple times, we still highly recommend, especially for the warm service we received at this location!

My boyfriend and I split the Chile relleno. Agreed it was the best we've ever had. His son had the birria tacos, mine had the kids burrito( it was huge!) both said they were fantastic. Mezcal Paloma's were delicious as well Service was above and beyond! We mentioned to our server (forgot his name) that we almost ordered the chicken molê, he brought us out a sample of the sauce. Wow!!! Perfection! Unfortunately we don't live here but we'll definitely be back when we visit next!
