New Number One Chinese Restaurant

Beef peppersteak is inedible breaded slop, literally not even made of steak. Chewy and disgusting, sticky gristle. Called the store back within 2 minutes of trying it, asked if I could simply trade it in for something else since 1) it isn't steak 2) it isn't good, and 3) I didn't eat it.

Got transferred to management who were rude and dismissive..

I usually get the sweet and sour chicken, which is consistently excellent. The family that runs the business seems sweet. Sorry to say I will never go back.

This restaurant is very tasty. I’ve tried several Chinese restaurants in the Rochester area and this is my favorite. Their food is savory and flavorful. The quantities are nice, the cost is not too high, and the environment in the restaurant is very warm and friendly.

Unfortunately it's new owners and it's not the same anymore, what's my favorite spot but not anymore.

I got the chicken and shrimp with cashew nuts combination platter and it was pretty good. I ordered through DoorDash and it was surprisingly still hot

Ive been buying food here for years as i used to work close by, even when i was not working i would go here. Havent been there in a while so a couple of weeks ago i ordered a chicken lo mein combo which was my favorite, when i went to pick it up i noticed new people/cooks working there, for my surprise the pork fried rice that i ordered with it was completely bland,pale & no flavor at all, they used to put vegetables in it and there was none. Just a few pieces of pork, no onions or vegetables, it was really bad i couldnt eat it. The chicken lo mein was overcooked but the flavor was ok. Today i tried again and i ordered pork fried rice and sesame chicken, NEVER AGAIN. Same bland flavorless pork fried rice very dry, the sesame chicken was soooo overcooked it was so hard to eat, they fried it too much. I trew it in the trash. Terrible not buying food here ever again.

It’s so disheartening to say that this restaurant has gone completely DOWN HILL. The food is absolutely DISGUSTING now , none of the same cooks who have been there for years are here anymore! I ordered chicken and broccoli, my usual; and I’ve noticed the last few times the sauce has been getting darker. Today, it tasted like it was made in BBQ sauce 🤮!!! The lomein noodles were mushy, tasteless and given in a very small portion. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!! The NEW STAFF continues to get my orders wrong as well. I have been ordering from here for YEARS, sad to say that today was my families LAST. We will have to find someplace else, hopefully closer to where we live; seeing how we drove over 30mins just for this place because it USED to be the best in town.
P.S. We were starving tonight, to drive 30mins and not even be able to eat this food in it’s entirety because of it being cooked improperly. Now, I have to wait till Tuesday to return the food and be refunded. (nice how I have to waste my gas to be refunded for their error huh)?

Pork lo mein (all I ordered) was sticky & had no flavor. Took almost all of the food home and thought it might taste better with more seasonings like garlic powder and salt & pepper. That didn’t help at all. I gave it to my husband who usually likes things I don’t, and even he didn’t like it.

Beautiful food and a beautiful family. Food was ready to pick up quickly and the portions are fantastic. I definitely recommend stopping by.
