Open Face was one of my favorite spots in the South Wedge! I forgot you can just come to the George Eastman House and not go to the museum and just grab lunch! You can still enjoy the beautiful gardens and have a delicious bite to eat! Fresh and delicious as always! I will have to do this more! (Not pictured: Ginger carrots bc I gobbled them up!) :)

When Google maps tells you to do the last turn to the destination: it is into the museum parking lot. Ample parking. The menu is small but plenty of hot tea choices. A few soups and sandwiches but very delicious. The visual presentation of the food on the plate already deserved 5* and my taste buds loved the Havarti with chicken sandwich. Highly recommend.
Plus, it is right in the museum.

I can’t wait to have lunch here again around mid May when the Eastman gardens spring to life!

I just order a mushroom soup, over peeppered. The chips that came with it very, very salty. Staff very unacomodating.
The lemonade, coconut, coriander it was good.

Very nice good set: half sandwich + soup + side + chips. All house made. Nice environment.

Most wonderful museum Cafe in Rochester! The food is delicious and priced much more reasonably than some museum cafes. Friendly and helpful staff are always kind and accommodating to my diet restrictions. Several vegetarian and vegan options. Perfect atmosphere.

Both employees were kind so that’s alway a plus! As for the food, it was definitely good but I found it overpriced for what it was. The cookie I wouldn’t get again as it was on the drier side of things. Would I go again? Yes, I think it’s a spot perfectly crafted for museum visitors or others, who want to visit a pretty sandwich shop.

Had the pumpkin bisque and it was wonderful.

I bring family members and friends here while out and about on Saturdays and Sundays. It’s really a unique spot in Rochester that offers delicious food you can’t get anywhere else. The palm house surrounded by the garden so charming and there’s plenty of natural light. It’s a lovely place to have lunch.

I got the salami sandwich special, open faced tuna sandwich, and street corn/waldorf salad for sides. The sandwiches were ok, definitely over priced at between $14-16 but eh side salads were just awful. The street corn was from a can and the Waldorf salad was impossibly sweet and mushy. I must also say: I’m not into giving everything a 5, so a 2, in this case, just means it was fine, I won’t be back.
