Palmers: was my number one go-to for meats and seafood. However, I purchased chicken from them yesterday and really had to question the origin of this meat. It was a tender, chewy texture, which didn't hold flavor despite the amount of seasoning I doused the meal in. I hate to think that I had lab-grown meat but I am highly skeptical of the meat now. Uncooked, it looked like the attached photo. When I tell you that I wanted to Earl seeing the stringiness of this chicken.....yuck. I have never in all my life been so disgusted by a piece of meat.

Love the 10lb bag of chicken wings and the chicken breakfast sausage. Definitely money saved if you cook yourself. The staff is friendly as well.

Spent thousands per year here every year and now I won’t go back. The butcher I saw today is a greedy liar and absolutely miserable to deal with. They had strip loins listed at $12.99/lb and steaks at $22.99/lb. But they also had a strip loin that had been trimmed in the case that should’ve been $12.99/lb and he pulled a number of $18.99/lb out of thin air and said “well, that’s because it got cut.” I said well the sign says $12.99/lb so I’ll pay that” and he said no. So I left $200 worth of groceries and told them they lost my business for their price gouging of hard working customers at a time when the economy is crushing us all. Telling all of my friends about this because many of them went there because of my recommendation. Any suggestions for a new meat market are welcomed, I’ll take the $3,500 per year I spend there elsewhere and they can be happy they saved a whole $30 today.

The food tastes OK and they have nice containers but they are over priced. On the menu it says seafood entrées and you can choose baked fish or fried fish, but it comes with nothing. You have to pay extra to get a side to go with it. And the fish itself is a small portion so I am still hungry now. I wanted a sliver to try of the fried fish to see if I should get baked or fried for myself and they said they don’t do samples.

The meat here is much higher quality than you can get at Wegmans or any chain grocery store, and at a comparable or cheaper price too. I've been coming here with my partner for several months now, and we've never been disappointed. They have dry aged meat too, if you're into that.Along with meat and fish, they also have some nice quality ingredients like canned san marzano tomatoes, various sauces, select carbonated beverages, breads, cheeses, various spice blends, and some baked goods on occasion.
