Went here with my fiancé to celebrate that we are getting married in a few days and this was the place we went on our first date 7 years ago. Had a reservation for 6:30pm on a Tuesday night. As the hostess sat us down I noticed there were a few servers working but the section we got sat in our server was focused on a large party. We had our water poured, but we sat there for at least 15 minutes before our server greeted us. She was too focused on the big table she had, which I understood at the time. What frustrated me is that all the tables that got sat after us had their food, drinks, dessert, and checks way before us, and no one seemed to care about our table or at least acknowledge that they were busy. Unfortunately, we didn’t end up getting our appetizer until 7:30pm and then our entrees until 8:05pm. I’ve worked in several restaurants and hospitality businesses throughout my life and I understand when places get slammed because of big tables. I feel as though the hostess messed up and put us in the wrong section. The whole night we felt like a complete afterthought and our server was no where to be found. We didn’t end up leaving until 8:30pm because it took her so long to get our check and to-go boxes. Overall the food was good but was ruined by such an awful service experience that I’m not disappointed I hadn’t been here in a little over 7 years. I hate leaving reviews like this but I’m so sad that what was supposed to be a cute night was ruined by this lack of planning. Everyone around us seemed happy though and their server was attentive. We were hoping to try the desserts and get coffee but had other plans and being there for 2 hours and waiting over an hour and a half for dinner was enough for us. I hope this isn’t their normal operation, especially on a random Tuesday night.

Top notch food. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent service on a busy Friday.
Send the chef to Italy, he doesn't know what Italian food is. The pasta was just awful.

So completely disappointed!! Went to dinner last night hoping for the same amazing food I’ve always received there. Ordered their Prime rib… It came completely cold, even to the touch and Very overcooked. I ordered a replacement meal, which is always one of my favorites, Chicken Milanese. It came burned and even black on the edges, AFTER my husband was completely done with his meal. Left with no dinner!

We were there last evening and were very disappointed with our food. We ordered sea food pasta and baked riggies and cheese. Sea food pasta description says in lemon butter suace but our sea food pasta was in cheese cream sauce. Baked riggies were in watered down cheesy sauce. Both baked riggies and sea food pasta had the same sause and did not taste good. Our drinks were full of ice with very little actual drink in it. So disappointed and will never go there again???

First time visit to Pane Vino We were super excited Staff and service was spot on Only complaint was our pasta was mush and my chicken parm and meatball were extremely salty. Ap and dessert were great Wish there was some scampi sauce on the calamari We’ll give it another go, just because the staff was truly amazing.

We went here last night for our 2 year anniversary. We were lucky enough to have the general manager Marci serve us. The place was elegant. The food was beyond amazing and we were treated with love and respect. Definitely will return back. The calamari was out of this world!!!!!!!!!! The VENETIAN-STYLE BAKED SCALLOPS and risotto were phenomenal and my bf got the veal portobello.

The location and atmosphere are great. And our server made the evening fantastic.
After the lobster bisque (special) I thought this food could be on my last meal list. It was INCREDIBLE. Sadly my salmon on pesto cream pasta was not.
The pasta, while homemade, was mushy. The pesto cream bland. And the salmon overcooked.
If I knew they had lobster bisque I'd go back. And for a special occasion it's very nice, especially the outdoor seating. But the dinner was just ok.

I’m not the first to say this and surely won’t be the last, this place is phenomenal!!! My in laws have been here and they treated us to this beautiful place this evening. Everything was outstanding; service, food, drinks, and even the valet. I had a coconut mojito with coconut cream, it was the best coconut drink ive ever had. We also started with the fried calamari as an appetizer and chose the chicken cutlets as my entrée which was cooked to perfection. If you’re in Rochester, this is THE place to check out, we will absolutely returning and can’t wait to sit on the beautiful patio that over looks the river!!
Parking: There is a free valet so you won’t have to worry about parking!

I ordered rigatoni bolognese. It was the first time ever ordering bolognese where I had to pick through the sauce with a fork to determine where the meat was. It was like a vegetarian bolognese, which is an oxymoron, but that is what it was like. Other than that, the food was pretty good. If you go and plan on using the valet service, beware. When we got there the valet attendant (there is only one) wasn’t out front. He apparently was parking a car. We couldn’t wait for him as people had parked on both sides of the street, creating a single driving lane, and cars were approaching, causing us to have to move. We had to round the block, and by that time he had gotten back. When we left the attendant got our car, but then we were blocked by on coming traffic southbound. I had to put the car in reverse and back up 300 ft or so, as cars from both directions kept pulling into the street, forcing me to stop and start as they had to back out themselves once they realized I was trapped. The parking situation is enough to keep me from going there again. Too stressful.
