Best food on Park Ave!

Jeff Weber

The service and atmosphere were great but the food was just ok. We both had fish dishes and the fish was good but the sides (rice and veg) were overcooked.

We had a small group gathering to celebrate a birthday. Everyone enjoyed the evening. Very attentive staff and service. My selections/portions were very generous. Plenty to share. The entree offerings were varied, and our group tried most of them. A very satisfying experience. Thank you all!

It was good, not great. Maybe my expectations were too high. The veggies seemed to be frozen, and the flavors were very basic. Not bad but would chose several other restaurants on park ave first.

We happened upon this gem by accident, and what a happy accident! We ordered 5 entrees and all were excellent, even impressing my 2 young children. Their prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be returning.

Kid-friendliness: The staff was super accommodating to my picky 7 year old and I never felt like I had to shush my kids, who can be exuberant at times.

This is a hidden GEM in Rochester, NY! It is not a "pub" where the bar is the main focal point. It's in the back but is much more a fine dining type restaurant and well worth the visit. We had the twin 3oz filet, crab cake, mashed potato dish special and it was out of this world! We finished it off with peanut butter pie and coffee which was the perfect ending to an amazing meal with my husband!Highly recommend!

We were told it would be a one hour wait. We waited across the street at Magpie. After an hour with no call, we went back. The restaurant was 1/4 full. The host thanked us for out patience as if we didn't know he blew us off. The appetizers were excellent but the entrees were sub-par, tough meat, cold vegetables and rice, and the time gap between the first and second course was absurd. No espresso ... seriously? Not worth the wait, the poor service, or the food.
