We loved the original Pittsford Farms Dairy so much that we made a point to visit their second location closer to downtown Rochester — and it did not disappoint.
Although this location is much smaller, it’s tucked into a lively, walkable neighborhood with a charming vibe. The interior retains the same rustic charm — warm wood-paneled walls, black-and-white chalkboard menus, and shelves lined with local products like pasta sauces, salts, and preserves. The vintage ice cream parlor feel is alive here too, complete with glowing marquee lights that spell out “ICE CREAM” and old-fashioned dairy crates that serve as display tables.
Despite arriving at 8:30 pm, there was still a long line — proof that the quality here matches the original. We got:
🍫 A chocolate waffle cone – rich, creamy, deeply cocoa-y. 🍋 A lemon blueberry waffle cone – refreshing, tangy, beautifully balanced. 🥛 A bottle of their farm-fresh milk – as smooth and nostalgic as always. 🍰 A New York-style cheesecake – decadent but not overly sweet, with perfect texture. 🥣 A few Ithaca yogurts – fresh, tangy, and naturally sweet.
Everything was delicious. Even in a more compact setting, Pittsford Farms still manages to deliver top-tier dairy and desserts. It’s an essential stop for locals and visitors alike.

Ice cream, cheese, cookies, maple syrup, little cheesecakes, GF options if you need them, a nice variety of soups, and lots more. I just wish they had my favorite egg salad croissant sandwich from the other location - I love Pittsford Dairy!
