A friend and I stopped by after work to get a to go order. The food was perfecto, and the service was personable and sincere and unlike any I have received at various Gates eateries. I will say while the aesthetics is less than appealing with its outdated decor; and it feels like an old, tired diner, you do get the sense that they are focused on customer service and not so much looks which is a priority for me. If the food is good and the service is up to snuff, then I am good....
I've been going to Pixley's for many years. I'm glad they survived the Pandemic. On a recent visit I had an enormous salad. I only ate maybe 1/4 of it because it was so large. I enjoyed it due to the warm, grilled chicken on top. My husband had Linguini and clams. He said it was okay but felt it was bland. I've always felt that Pixley's provided a generous portion for the money. I wish they'd make a better effort in cleaning the women's restroom....
