Food was amazing - authentic and made right while you wait! Highly recommend this small business. Talked with the owner and she has vegan options and gluten free options for all of her specialties.

Worst place on the planet. Owner is rude. Went to pick up an order for a customer rang the bell owner came out and told me the order was canceled. I called DoorDash. They called the merchant who said they had the order. I called the merchant to ask her why she told me it was canceled when it wasn’t. She became extremely rude and belligerent. I kept DoorDash on the phone as I went back to the store to retrieve the food she did not answer the door. I spoke to a police officer who was security in the building, told him the situation he gave me the company that runs the building where this merchant rents from and I will be reaching out to them. If you don’t want to work and serve your customers go back home, you are not welcome here.

Que Chévere operates out of The Commissary inside Mercantile on Main. They have THE BEST empanadillas I've ever had. I love all of them, but the beef and cheese is my favorite. Everything I've ordered from here has been stellar.

Tostones were some of the best I ever had. The mayo-ketchup served with it is amazing. Empanadas were so delicious and flavorful. They even had impossible meat options for vegetarians! Highly recommend

If I could give this place 10 stars I would this has been by far the most authentic/ most delicious Puerto Rican food I’ve had in Rochester so far. We had el jibarito sandwich and the mofongo de pernil and it tasted like I went back home for the first time in 6 years. I will be coming back it’s the only place that truly feels like they cook with love.Kid-friendliness: They were super nice to my baby

The place said it was open I called and they said they were not, I was told the next day they would be, called today to make sure they were open how they said they would be and someone answered who sounded like they were on speaker and was told they are on vacation. Same thing the first time I call they answer just saying hello, not knowing if this is a business or not. Not sure how they run this place but if they are going to close they should at least update their hours or post them on their social pages.

Just hd linch here. The only reason I went here was because of the prior reviews and the fact that I was craving a Cuban sandwich lol.I ordered two beef/cheese empanadas and a Cuban sandwich. The empanadas were not really that good. They were drenched in oil and it was so bad I had to out a paper towel underneath me to catch the oil that was dripping oil my desk. The Cuban sandwich though was very good and was a good size. Overall, I definitely wouldn’t order any more empanadas from them but would try the Cuban sandwich again.

So disappointed I had pics sent to door dash customer service chat but it didn’t save to my phone , I wish it did. I spend 28$ plus tip for driver and tax 37$ for 2 alcapurrias 2 empanadillas and a mofongo meal with carne frita that was suppose to have chicharones …..Well the alcapurrias weren’t even drained from oil it looked like the baggie had a good 2-3 tablespoons! Of oil it was so disgusting and they were salty !!!! Super salty ,I have 1 1/2 away couldn’t eat it , the empanadillas was cheese and beef and the meat looked like mashed up beans swimming in oil ! As soon as I bit into the empanadilla oil spilled all over my work shift and the floor and I STILL have some to pour into the trash - the amount of oil was insane - so I threw away the one i bit and gave away the other ($7 for 2 so $14 I lost) oh and my enpanadillas didn’t even look like the picture!!!! so moving on to the mofongo meal with carne frita I was super excited and then i took a taste of the mofongo — DRY and SALTY ?? so so upset so I was like uk what let me put this mayokechu on … mad it worse ! The carne frita was like the meat you get from Tops I have all bones and where I did find meat was mainly FAT gooey fat like c’mon , and how can I forget the pond on oil underneath the meat … oh to top it off my lemon was BROWN ?… it hurt my SOUL to throw away $37 I wish I still had the pictures but I will never order or recommend anyone here
