OMG! Had no idea how great this place is. The food, ambience and service were excellent tonight. Highly recommend checking it out. Outstanding food!

Went in for a drink and snack. As a bug ran across the bar and the martini gave us both that rotten food heartburn feeling. We decided to elsewhere. Do not recommend.

Edit 2: I lowered to one star because you didn’t even know who I was and you went off about some 80th party. That wasn’t me. Sorry you’re too butthurt about your terrible restaurant to actually behave like a rational owner. I hope you close down soon xoxo

Overall, the dine-in experience wasn’t the best. The manager wasn’t very nice at all. We had a party scheduled and my sister and I arrived about 15 minutes early to set up a few table decorations- nothing crazy. Other people were inside so we figured it wouldn’t be an issue to wait until he was ready but he was nearly ready to kick us out right there! I understand the restaurant didn’t “open” until that time but we could’ve stepped outside if he asked nicely instead of acting like we’re inconveniencing him- mind you, we were HIS customers and this is our first time meeting him and we were very polite. Then he asks about our decorations. I understand his concerns but he went on and on and on- I understand, redecorating is expensive and glitter is annoying. Still, he didn’t have to have such an attitude walking in.

Onto the physical restaurant and food… in my meal- the Luella, it had pieces of random other types of pasta and veggies that clearly didn’t go in it.. a random piece of spinach, overcooked pieces of penne pasta.. the veggies weren’t cut consistently either so one bite was normal and the next needed to be cut into a few pieces.. the asparagus wasn’t cooked AT ALL and crunchy which was super off putting.. they were also in different shapes and sizes. My aunt ordered angel hair and it was SWIMMING! Yes, swimming in water! Everyone had to keep giving her sauce because it washed away with all the water on the bottom.. the meals are between $20-$30. I expect quality food and consistency. Nobody has money to be throwing around for raw veggies and noodle soup..

They also can’t seem to figure out temperatures which is concerning for a restaurant environment.. it was freezing when we first got there then someone had to complain for him to turn the heat on.. Lastly, my sister and I walked in and it smelled awful.. we didn’t want to initially stay for the party but we had to since it was planned. But the smell was so bad it made me question when the last time things have been upgraded such as the water. I personally didn’t use the bathroom but my mother went to the restaurant even before the change and the bathroom had the same tiles from 30+ years ago, she’s pretty sure.. if not, it sure looks like it which isn’t really promising either… overall, I’d recommend takeout to avoid MOST of this…

Edit for the potential response: I’ve looked at the other reviews and replies and the owner is VERY rude. “You should have asked us to remake it.” Get it right the first time! You’re a restaurant and you’re serving these people. You need people to make money. The owner needs an attitude adjustment!

Have eaten here several times as a personal customer and it’s always great.

Have also used the restaurant in a professional setting for catering on multiple occasions and had a great experience.

Would highly recommend for catering for an office/warehouse environment.

We had multiple employees taking pictures of the food to send to their friends and families as a brag about their food at work.

In our opinion there are far better Italian restaurants in Rochester. In fact, many are in East Rochester. We have tried them twice. Once when they first opened and the owners family was running wild. We tried a second time and to us our food was not edible. The server was very friendly and efficient. We paid, tipped and left but the owner confronted us outside making us very uncomfortable.

Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy to navigate without any steps to climb.

It was my first time here, for a special occasion (marriage proposal) And in the end it was the biggest disappointment ever for it to be as expensive as it was. They recommended a dish and brought us raw steak. They take it back reheat it for a couple minutes and brought it back rare. I tried to explain to the manager, that was not medium that was rare. He insisted it was medium, I proceeded to tell him I am a chef of 20 years, in college as we speak to open up a business and that steak sir is rare not medium. His response was well I'm a chef for 29 years and I own a restaurant. I don't think I've ever encountered a more ignorant human being in my life. All because I was trying to explain their mistakes. So they dont repeat it again. Needless to say, my family and I will never do business here again.

If I could give no stars I would. 2nd time going and twice as disappointing. Hopefully the owner doesn't try to verbally blame the customer like he does in most bad reviews.

I went here about a month ago and my experience tonight was very different. I was dissatisfied with my meal. I brought friends who were also disappointed in their meal. Our gnocchi’s said house made and they were not. The sauce was a thick paste that looked burnt. Even the gentleman who asked how our meal was commented on how it did not look right. He offered to make us a new dish but it was too late into the meal. No offer to comp the meal or give us a free drinks or dessert was given to us. We will not be back to this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone.

I ordered the gnocchi’s. I have had them at many restaurants many times. These were hands down the worst I have ever had. They were not homemade even though the menu stated “house made.” The sauce was some sort of paste. A gentleman came by halfway through our meal and asked how it was and we shared our displeasure. He offered a different meal to be made but it was too late by then. When getting the bill there no compensation was offered. My husband had the chicken French and his experience was also just as disappointing. Chicken French should not be made with a thick linguine sauce. We should have gone to Wendy’s a little further down the street and saved $75.
You NEVER offered to take it off my bill- don’t be a liar! I have 3 other people with me that heard the SAME conversation!! We should not have to agree to have the amount deducted from the bill- you should automatically remove it- you should be embarrassed with your failure and fix it!
