Definitely will be back here very nice place great atmosphere and the drinks are spot on and definitely not over priced like most places I was truly supposed at the price of the drinks extremely reasonable very nice place

I just moved to the area and went to this bar tonight and was shoulder checked on two instances by an employee (as she says). I refuse to be bullied and threatened by someone who thinks they can push people around because they work at the bar. I said to her “It is rude to push people out of your way like that, and not say excuse me”. She proceeds to say, “I work here, you want to go outside?!” While making a fist towards me. (Aggressively). While her friend is telling me to shush so she doesn’t go off.
I then go off towards them to get them to leave me alone. The security guard comes up to me trying to diffuse the situation, but not caring that I was being threatened to be assaulted by this employee. I told the security I will calm down, but I think it’s unfair that someone who is threatening me is still be in the bar. They did not care or listen to me.
I moved to the other side of the bar and shortly after they walking past me back and forth, so I look towards them and they throw up another fist and say, “you want to go outside?!” I look towards the security guard (the same one from the beginning, seemingly watching what’s happening). My brother was also signaling to the security guard that something was happening. I gesture to the guard a 🤷♂️and say “what was that?!” They then tell me to leave (all the while I’m trying to cash out to leave). I then talk to another security guard who let me in the bar ( informing him of the situation). I ask to talk to a manager. He says there wasn’t one in the bar. I say, “it’s Friday night, you don’t have a manager present?” He then proceeds to tell me he was behind me.
The manager said he was going to find out what happened and talk to the staff. 10-20 mins later he comes up to me saying the person who threatened me doesn’t even know much English and he didn’t know Spanish. I said she definitely knew enough to want to fight me outside. He neglected to do anything about the situation besides being complicit in the whole situation. He kept making me seem like I was the bad guy because I was heated that someone was pushing me around thinking they could.
The management team and security are allowing threats and violence. I will NEVER go to this bar again and recommend you shouldn’t either! This should be a safe space for ALL not just employees who want to be buttheads and think it’s okay to be rUde to the patrons who fund the exact space they work! BOYCOTT ROAR ASAP!

Great place to enjoy yourself but rated 3 stars becauuuuse I requested a song plenty of times to the dj to be played and it didn’t get played , I feel as if we are paying to come in and spend cash with you guys we should be able to request songs once or twice throughout the night

I love everything about ROAR. First time here and I will be making the 3 hour drive to return.
I love Roar!!! I just wish they didn't play the music as loud as they did last time we were there. It was almost in audible. I love the place. It's fun and the food is awesome. Shout out to the bartenders. Especially the one lady with the short hair.

Why’s the DJ playing song “Not Like Us” containing a whole lotta N word slurs?? This is not okay as I’m standing next to white folks saying the word as if there’s nothing wrong.. Also the Drag Queens got so boring overtime, need fresh girls.

I try to go to Roar most Saturday nights because it’s a place you can be yourself. Whether you’re apart of the LGBTQ+ community or you’re straight, it’s always a welcoming atmosphere. Saturday nights are ran by co-owners Dee Dee Dubios and DJ Mighty Mike behind the DJ booth! And they put on an amazing show every week and the crowd always shows up with energy. This is hands down the best nightclub in the Rochester area because they also focus highly on cleanliness which is a big thing and they make a it a space for everyone to be themselves. I’m happy to be apart of this community and DeeDee always makes me feel welcomed and appreciated every-time I run into her. Keep up the amazing work and I can’t wait to see the future of Roar. Hopefully one day I’ll be a performer there. ❤️
