Horrible! It is not open as it stated on the website. The employees were not apologetic but laughing about the change in management.

Workers should wear uniforms. We were told to stop doing something by a women but no one was wear a uniform or a name tag so we didn't listen. Only the security guards (which were our best friends) were in uniforms. We asked them if we could continue what we were doing and they said "was the person wearing a uniform?" And we said no so we continued playing. The whole weekend we continued going in the bridge and playing but the last day someone (not in uniform) was telling us we couldn't play there again. We shouldn't be taking authority from people who could be mistaken for a resident at the hotel. Most of the workers looked like they just walked out of their hotel rooms and didn't bother to get ready. No one will listen to the workers if they look like trashy civilians wearing a different shabby outfit every day... Also be aware that there are no elevators so you have to carry all of your luggage. They have a lot of dollies but they won't seem that helpful.

When we first arrived we waited for service. Once the young lady covered in tattoos came to help she was nice. I was having surgery at a local hotel and they partner up for patients and give discounts. My nightly rate was 42 a night, she gave me a paper to sign and it said 52 a night. I told her i was told 42 a night, she corrected it but after i signed the 42 a night, i noticed she signed my name on the 52 page. We go to pur room and the key didnt work. We went back to the lobby and had the keys rescanned. It worked. I just wanted to shower so i head to bathroom and there is no shampoo, conditioner or soap. How is there no toiletries? We went back to the lobby and had to wait but she finally brought some over. Get back to the room and my husband is killing spiders on one of the beds. Ughhh. After checking the other bed I figured it was safe. The beds are squeaky, the sheets and towels both had stains on them. Not exactly comfortable. I had surgery the next am, tossed and turned all night. My husband stayed a few more nights bc it was discounted and i already paid. He accidentally left my wallet in the room. They called to let us know, BUT they stole all my cash, change, and postage stamps. I instantly checked all my bank accounts and froze them. I contacted the hotel twice and never heard back from management. I do not advice staying here. Not worth even the discount. Update, a corporate representative reached out to me after 2 weeks and did apologize. The management never even called. The rep felt bad and offered me points to cover 2 nights for the disappointment. I will not be returning to this location ever!!!!

Great, super friend and helpful staff. But the rooms are very dated with quite a bit wear. Nice beds but really thin and cheap towel and blankets. The try to keep the room clean but there are multiple small spots of mildew in the barroom. The HVAC does the job but it is old and noisy. Very convenient to the airport and reasonably priced.

It closes at 11 but service stops at 10:30. After being in airports all day I had to go out to get something to eat.

So, I got loaned to the Rochester market for work and needed to find a base of operations. Had to be centrally located, had to have a restaurant and would be nice if there was a guest laundry. Boom. Hit all the above points at the Holiday Inn, ROC Airport. Not the most updated hotel, granted. But I really don't need too much. The pool is nice, I prefer to swim a few laps as opposed to using the gym, which gets kinda full. There's a restaurant and a bar on-site, which makes it a bit easier for me to plan my days. I can't speak to the breakfast as I generally don't eat breakfast before I head out to work, but I did have one lunch and a few dinners. I was in town for work, traveling solo, so I would just eat at the bar. The food was actually pretty good - nothing to write home about, but good. The bar itself is in need of an update, if I'm honest, the decor is a touch worn, but that didn't bother me. They have a few locally brewed beers on tap, which helps one to ignore the tired walls. As I tend to do, I got to talking with the staff. (I was at this hotel for three weeks, on and off, so I became a bit of a regular.) All were very friendly and professional in their demeanor. Plus we started showing each other pictures of our dogs after they started to recognize me, which goes a long way when you're far from home. In any event, I would be a little hesitant to stay here for anything other than business - not a destination type hotel at all. But for a room and the occasional meal, this is a good choice.

The food is kinda expensive but it is great having a restaurant on the campus of the hotel. You can tell that it is not fresh food, but it is very good for the price.

If you're planning to stay here, pack some Clorox or Lysol wipes, because you'll need to do your own cleaning before you even set down your luggage. You'll want to check the bedding (unless you'd just rather not know...). And you may as well know ahead of time that if you need housekeeping services, there may not be anyone to handle it, because the housekeeping staff apparently leave early, leaving no one to assist you with your needs. Details? Read on. Our little family of three just got back from a trip to a convention where my husband was a guest speaker - and since the convention made our arrangements, we had no control over which hotel we were put in. I normally like Holiday Inns well enough - they're not the best, but they're not usually the worst - they're adequate. Except for this one. When we checked in, I'd already read the other Yelp reviews, and was aware enough to look at the room before we took in our things. We walked up the stairs and trepidatiously headed down the dingy, stained hallway with patched walls - and reached our room, hoping for the best. The room was arranged nicely enough, BUT - there was dust and debris coating the visible surfaces. There was hair and debris in the bed linens. My first thought? Well, frankly after reading the Yelp reviews, my first thought was "Thank the gods I don't see any bed bugs, so, fine, I'll just ask for the grody bedding to be changed, I'll wipe down the surfaces myself, and we can go ahead and bring the luggage up." And it was then that we learned that the elevator wasn't working at all, because construction (which might have been a good thing for the front desk to warn us about before we checked into that room in the first place, because luggage + stairs is sometimes no bueno). At that point it was either carry the luggage up stairs without a cart, or change rooms. The front desk staff offered us a different room on the first floor, with two queen beds instead of a King - fine, we'll try it. And then we conducted a second - much briefer - room inspection. There was hair and other debris everywhere - in the bathtub - in the sheets - on the carpet. (See my photos.) It was more disgusting than the first room. Since the first room was less visibly filthy, we went back to the front desk and asked to be moved back to that one, and for someone to help us carry the luggage. The front desk agreeably found someone to help us, and promised that the bedding would be changed by the time we planned to return to our room later that night. When we did return to the room, the bedding hadn't been changed, there was no one in housekeeping at the hotel, and so a friendly security guard that was employed through an agency and not directly through the hotel brought us new bedding - and after I fussed about having to do the maid's work, he even helped me change the linens (Thanks, Securty Guard, whoever you are). The wifi didn't work for our entire stay. I had to scrub down the visible surfaces myself with Lysol wipes. The drawers and tables had dust and debris galore (see the pics). The next day I requested 3-4 new towels four our family of three - and several hours later received only two. And then I called the front desk for the shuttle - and was told that they wouldn't request a shuttle until we came to the lobby. So, ten minutes later, we walked down to the lobby to - again - request the shuttle, and... Wouldn't you know it, the driver had just gone on lunch, and he came over personally to let us know that he would really appreciate it if we let him finish his break. So we walked back up the stairs to our room to wait for his lunch to end so we could get to our destination. I didn't much mind the construction, but the lack of functioning elevator for moving luggage bugged, as did the exposed wiring and pipes everywhere, and the general filth (See my pics). That all being said, if they had better maids an

One word: bed bugs!!!!!!! I wish this was a joke but it is not. Due to a flight cancellation we were given overnight vouchers to stay at this hotel. We got an early flight out so we did not mind it as to the place seemed it was clean and close to our airport. The room was very cold so as soon as I got in I put my feet under the blankets as I sat in the bed. Of course I noticed them to itch after an hour or so, and I thought it's just in my mind I rinsed off in the shower came back to bed but this time I felt something biting me I looked and there it was. A big red bed bug on my toe..... It friggin bit meeeeeeeeeeee and I caught it . Put some clothes on called the other room for the people that was with me to leave as well and went down to tell the front desk and check out immediately. Holiday inn you have a problem.... I have never felt this panic over bugs before and I'm hyperventilating and frustrated thinking bugs are crawling over me every second ..... Cannot believe this .....

Sooooo here is the scoop on the Holiday Inn Rochester Airport. After reading the other Yelp reviews I honestly was quite afraid to stay at this hotel and considered canceling my reservation. However I didn't want to get caught with cancellation fees so we stuck with our reservation. So 1st things 1st...this hotel is very conveniently located next to the airport. The location makes it incredibly ideal for early flights or late arrivals. Upon entering the grounds we noticed that there was some paving going on in the parking lot. When we checked in the guest services representative informed us that we should be parked in a certain area in order to not be effected by the paving. The next morning we received a phone call at 8am telling us that if we were parked in a certain area we would have to move our car...strike 1. When walking the long hallway to our actual room there were paint chips throughout due to the work they were doing. The walls were clearly being worked on. There was also a few pieces of random furniture laying in the hallway. Our actual room was great! There was a little bit of a new carpet smell; nonetheless, I was really satisfied with it. Very clean, incredibly comfortable bed, and the shower had perfect water pressure unlike what I've read in other reviews. On the 1st full day of our stay there were painters with ladders and scaffolding all throughout the front lobby. There was even plastic down on the floor and lobby desk. It made us feel like we weren't supposed to be there. Almost like we were intruders. When returning to the room that night at approximately 12:00 am our room had not been touched by housekeeping....strike 2. The next morning we informed the guest services representative who then offered us meal compensations in the hotel restaurant. We thought this gesture was very nice. When returning that evening the parking lot was roped off again. Even the area right in front of the lobby. When we parked a man came and said we had to move to another area because they would be eventually paving those spots...strike 3. Overall, our experience was not as comfortable as it could have been due to the construction/ revamping of the hotel grounds and the inconsistent housekeeping service. I also understand that these things need to happen in order to upkeep the hotel but I feel like they could have informed us prior as far as the work that would be going on in the hotel. Maybe that's why the rate seemed to be a little lower at this time...who knows? However they did make up for some of the inconvenience by giving us the comped meals. The food in the bar and grill was satisfying. The service in the bar and grill was slow but very friendly. The thing about this hotel is I think it'll be great once they finish construction and tighten up the housekeeping department. I'd be willing to stay here again and would recommend it to others once the construction is complete.

Awful. I should have just slept in my car. Lights don't work in room. Beds slump in the middle , old and out dated.

What a dump. As I write this, the toilet is running, as it has all night. The sink is overflowing, because it is clogged. There is no clock radio, so I had to keep getting up to look at my phone to see what time it was. The distracted, uninterested girl at the desk last night didn't offer me points for my Platinum Club status, and wasn't helpful in terms of helping me find my room.
