Very disappointed. I've been coming here for years. Bread was kind of stale. Tripe was very rubbery. Salad wasn't as good as I remember.

Rocky's is a very old restaurant in a very old building not located in the best neighborhood. It looks like a dive but don't let that fool you. The food is excellent. There is a bar with counter service & I noticed a few people picking up their meal to take home.

OG Italian food downtown Rochester. Family run, bustling and friendly. We went on Friday before Valentine’s Day and had some classic dishes (including great meatballs and stuffed shells) and they had little heart chocolates.

Not saying it was good, not saying it was bad, it was just basic. First walk in I was thinking I'd get food poisoning eating at this place. Run down building and sketchy atmosphere inside the restaurant. Nothing special.

First time there yesterday with my parents. Food was PHENOMENAL! Staff was down to earth and friendly as can be. Normal, nice, hard working people there and that makes it a great place. Sauce was the best i've ever had. Minestrone soup was amazing. Can't wait to go again. My new favorite restaurant!

Great classic homemade Italian menu , reasonable prices... The sauce is like Sunday sauce grandma used to make, the place is in need of a remodel but then prices would go up. Foods amazing

I felt like a valued guest from the moment I walked in.

Been going to Rocky's for over 35 years. I have watched it start to decline in the last few years. The last time i was there they were out of almost everything, and besides the service, it sucked. I invited a bunch of guys recently, and at 12:30 they were out of everything, but pasta and sausage. Looking in the kitchen, it look like a disaster. They had a shortage of staff, and the service sucked. I was embarrassed I picked this place. I would suggest they take a step back and look at what they have done to an Icon of Rochester, and fix it fast before it becomes the past.

Rocky's is fun, if you're up for an adventure. The food is the best I've ever had - including in Italy. It was unusually busy when we went for lunch and they ran out of food - so go early. Think small, family, neighborhood diner and you'll have an idea of the ambience. Nice place.

Amazing food. The tripe with meatballs on the side was amazing. The tripe was nice and buttery not chewy and the sauce was just as delicious. The stuffed shells were also great (in a different red sauce than the tripe but the same as the meatballs). Anything you get here will be amazing. Cash only but they have an atm on site

I love the look of Rocky’s inside and out. It’s like stepping back in time with the staff and the regulars. The decor can’t really changed much since opening and that’s the charm. The staff are friendly and it’s like going to a relatives house for dinner. My great grandfather was from Naples and my great grandmother grew up in little Italy so I know good authentic food when I taste it. Everything on this menu is phenomenal and generous portions are the norm. There are Italian eateries that are edible but none come close to enjoyable like Rocky’s. I always look forward to returning for the Lasagna and meatballs. This food is as close to my family’s recipe I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot. This tastes like going to my moms or grandmas back in the day every Sunday. Thank you Rocky’s.
