Came for dinner with a group and it was so good! Will absolutely be back. Recommend the truffle fries, beets, duck confit, vanilla custard and chocolate cake.

Great food and atmosphere but I'm leaving this review specifically because Miles the bartender was so kind and accommodating. We came in on my birthday and sat at the bar for dinner. I had a tummy ache (lol) so Miles, without even asking, made me a soda & bitters drink on the house and kept them coming. Within five minutes, I felt good enough to eat my meal. The staff also collectively gave us bread and olives on the house for my birthday. It was a great evening made possible by the kind staff here, especially Miles. We will absolutely be back!

We visited Roux recently and had a mixed experience. The drinks we ordered with dinner were great, and the bread and salad were good, but the service felt rushed, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the evening.
For our main courses, we tried the salmon and steak. The salmon was well-prepared and flavorful, and the steak was good too. However, it was served with a giant plate of French fries, which felt mismatched. A vegetable and side salad would have complemented the dish much better.
In the end, we decided to go elsewhere for drinks and dessert. Roux had some high points, but the rushed atmosphere and uninspired sides left us wanting more.

First time dining at Roux. The service was great and the atmosphere was cozy. We got the salmon and duck for our entrees along with the good fries. The fries were honestly the best part. The duck and salmon were fine. It seemed a bit expensive for what you get.

Me an my wife went here for our anniversary and the steaks were phenomenal, went there on the 13th of September for my wifes birthday and we ordered 2 of the beef rib wrapped in a croissant (sounded delicious), when it came out it was raw, doughy, and cold. We spent 114$ on 2 cold, gross meals and ended up leaving hungrier than when we went in, all in all won't be coming back, I can get a good steak somewhere else. Ruined the end of the day, Server was phenomenal though, good guy.
expensive but also long waiting time. Food was in average. Waitress is nice. We sited for over 3 tables up and left. Just sitting outside for 1.5 hour. Maybe 40 mins was just waiting. Service and atmosphere is good can’t complain.

Nice place! Enjoyed the drinks and food. Make sure you get reservations, and it gets crowded quickly. The accoustice in the place make it harder to hear when it is full. Also, where my date and i were seated didn't afford us much privacy to talk but it is a smaller room so it was understandable. The food came out quickly, and the servers were attentive to our needs without being hovering. I would go there again.

We had an excellent experience in this classic bistro -feel restaurant. Food,service and ambience all as expected ( and top notch). Noisy on a busy Saturday night, we felt welcomed and fit right in. Rochester is lucky to have this little gem!
