We visited Sal's Airpark last weekend. Every time we are in Rochester we stop for this treat. The wings and sides are unmatched. The sauces and blue cheese are like nothing else. I wish there was still a Syracuse location. Party pack forever....
If anyone wants wings, this is THE ONLY place to get real wings. Period end of story. It isn't what you would call a place with "atmosphere", but a great wings joint.
Sals Birdland is a place dear to my heart. Where I grew up there was one down the street. I absolutely love the chicken wings! The places is pretty big inside, clean with booth style seating. It's counter service, walk in and order then wait for the delish wings. Sals Birdland wings are a breaded wing. The wings are dums and flats, the flat has the tip as well.The potatoe wedges are some of my favorite wedges too. The wings are breaded and fried to perfection. They are crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside. The potatoe wedges are just as perfect as the wings. In my opinion these wings are second to none compared to other breaded wings. If you like gizzard you will be impressed because they are scrumptious too. Sals is also know for there sassy sauce and can be purchased at grocery stores. The blue cheese is my altime favorite. The price is high for wings, but Sals has always been on the pricey side even before wing prices got out of control. You get what you pay for, absolutely delicious and worth every penny. I'd recommend this place to any wing enthusiasts., it's a unique breaded wing. Try the blue cheese with the wedges! Pro tip. They sell these wings in Cicero NY, at a place named Modern Malt, they are made the same why as they do in Rochester NY.
Food was delicious. The wings are huge! Blue cheese was homemade and also really good. Worth checking out!

Childhood favorite of mine. Great portions and amazing taste. The only reason I gave it a 4 is that every time I order there, the cashier treats me like I owe them rent money. Im glad this business survived covid, and i hope it stays here forever

Best food I’ve had since leaving the south … hands down .. ion wanna hear nothing about paying no fowty fo wangs… go to Mac Donald’s and spend 20 to die early … I’ll eat me some o dat soul food any day …. You have to know 1. Real food is not cheap and if they charge 20 fo a box that weighs 6 pounds you’re eating good for yourself twice… ok.. I’m sorry to be brash but my heart ❤️ goes out to these people that serve us real good soul food that spans generations and I’ll pay ? to support that any day.. the man that cooked my meal brought it to my car man… real hospitality. Real soul… buy that? Priceless….. I have spoken
There is a clean quiet and friendly atmosphere at Sal's. I ordered ten jumbo wings, much to my delight they tasted delicious. I would recommend this eating establishment to any person in the Rochester area who likes to eat chicken; these guys n gals know what they're doing!

One of the best if not the best chicken spot in Rochester. The wings, Mac salad, potato wedges, garbage plates and blue cheese dip all taste excellent. No longer living in Rochester but I place my orders for seasoning when I can.
