1st timer and totally loved the food. I had the gizzard, wings and collard greens. All excellent. Gizzards were tender and flavorful. The hot sauce on the side was perfect for both the gizzards and wings. It was slightly sweet and mustardy. Perfect touch of heat.Wings were JUMBO as advertised. Moist and great crust.Collard greens were simple, loved the flavor.The place has 5-6 tables and was very clean. Nothing fancy for atmosphere. Order at a window. More of a takeout joint.The staff was friendly, made me feel welcome.I will be back .

The service was bad the woman who took my order was rude she was talking loud and cussing talking to other employee chicken breading was half off and the chicken taste old probably because grease was blackish color the food taste terrible when I ask why do the chicken taste like this she said it been some change that all I have to say I was shocked when she spoke to me in that manner u would think they would of told u ahead of time before you spent a 100dollars that they changed the recipe me and my family use to sal birdland and that not it and the woman did not stop there she said don't question why it taste like that eat it or don't I left the restaurant at that location disappointed ? becareful of the food and the location and the woman who took order act like she wanted to fight with me because i ask a question it was a horrible experience bring back the traditional sal birdland wings
The best wings and blue cheese around! I love dipping the potato wedges in the blue cheese and then in the sassy sauce. So good (:

What happened? It used to be good. But now I guess jumbo wings are pretty much regular wings. It used to be the entire wing was the jumbo wing. Now it's separated into flats and drums. They are over cooked and over breaded. The quality and quantity isn't worth it anymore. For the price of a 4 wings I could have had a dozen wings from a pizza shop.
So me and my partner went here because he said his grandma used to take him here all the time and it was amazing. Throughly unimpressed. From the food, the atmosphere, atmosphere goodness. First when we walked in the woman was rude, nonchalant, and had just a face as if we were annoying here. Completely unwelcoming. Then we ordered and let’s talk about prices, 4 wings 5 wedges for about $12. Forget that they are “jumbo” better off getting regular wings and downsizing the price. Then my partner, 10 wings and 8 wedges and side of beans with kiddie cup size drink. $27. Meal came up to about $40 and we were better off doing 2 for $20 at Applebees. Then to top it off we ate in the car because it was entirely too cold in the establishment. I only do reviews if I’m throughly unsatisfied or astonished. Unfortunately this was on the other side of the spectrum. The only thing that was good was the sauce, good that stands with the name and time. Seems as tho this establishment was popular once upon a time.
