Waited for 20 minutes and never got our sandwiches. They completely forgot about us even though we were standing right there

They have relocated to inside the closed area where they sell fish etc. They are co-opting space with RnR Ice Cream Café. Same old Scott’s recipe. A+

Where did Scott's go ?. My Saturday mornings aren't the same at Public Market without them.

Excellent quick food when you're at the market. Egg sandwich is one of my favorites. Great staff/service.

THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH IN ROCHESTER! I don't say this lightly, it is the best! The bacon is always perfectly done. The bread pairs well with the fried egg and cheese. You'll need to be aggressive when ordering by calling out your order because lines aren't a thing here. On busy Saturdays it can be crazy but it's worth it!

I was honestly really disappointed with the customer service. After having spent all morning moving, I tried to stop and grab a quick sandwich. It was busy which will understandably slow service down. I ordered one breakfast sandwich, and had at least 2-3 people who ordered after me served before me. Their orders were far more complicated than my one item I ordered. One employee checked once and assured me I was next, and then filled an order that had been taken after mine. At that point, the employees refused to get anywhere near me so I could ask for an update. A woman behind me in line commented on how long I waited, which was easily almost 30 minutes. I don't mind waiting, especially when they are busy, but it seems the priority was placed on people who knew the employees by name. Very, very frustrating and I certainly won't return.
The Rochester Public Market is 1 of my favorite places in the city. I've always liked public and flea markets. You see a lot of different people and products. People of all walks of life attend markets. It's interesting! Saturday even though it was raining I went over to just cut loose and enjoyed myself. From fruit and vegetable vendors, to pastries, clothing, sunglasses, hats and T-shirts, they were all there. 1 thing about buying fruits and vegetables, you can buy in bulk, or just 1 or 2. And you save $$$. :) 5 stars for the Rochester Public Market.

We love coming here for fresh fruits and veggies. Always find a large selection. You may want to walk around and price things. I have always scored some deals that way.

The Rochester Public Market is one of my favorite places in the city. It's a hub of activity during summer weekends, but they are open all year with a lot of good options in the shed during the colder months. Produce here is always the lowest priced, and I can always find that specialty spice or recipe inspiration. The vendors are amazing. I go further than produce here - usually also buying any fish (I bought scallops yesterday at $8/pound) and sirloin ($25 for 5 fillets.) A stop at Scotts II or Javas is a must as your peruse. I recommend coming in with an open mind and seeing where the fresh, seasonal availability takes you. I tend to try and only buy for that day or the next, as some of the fresh veggies and fruits will go bad on you faster than some of the preserved produce you'd buy at a grocery store. Pro tip: I basically furnished/decorated my entire home at their public garage sales (on Sundays through the summer) on the CHEAP. Go forth and support local, Yelpers :)

Love this place. It has such a unique vibe and everything is so reasonably priced. Whether you're shopping for fresh produce for the week or just need a morning adventure, you can't go wrong.

This public market is really awesome and it's something that I really miss when I lived in Rochester. Especially now that the remodel is finished, this place is huge! Vendors sell every kind of fruit and vegetable and meat you could ever want along with tons of other fun and interesting things. I've gotten wine here, cheeses, cookies, pastries, and lots of other delicious foods. On Saturdays the market is PACKED and parking can be challenging. There are at least two free lots nearby if not more so eventually you'll find a spot. I've always found prices here to be pretty great but keep an eye out to make sure your produce isn't too ripe. This is definitely an experience worth sharing with any visitor as this place is uniquely Rochester. I loved shopping here and supporting local and private businesses and always got really great food. This is a place I try to visit every time I'm in Rochester on a Saturday. You never know what you'll find!
