Fantastic sushi selection. I particularly like the sushi deluxe (chef's choice nigiri and California rolls) and the spicy salmon rolls.
Service can be slow. There is a parking lot in the back and their sign says you pack park there until 9:30pm
👍 sushi regular 👍
Excellent food, good vibes, jazz music, and friendly service. I come hear a few times a year and always really enjoy myself.
Delicious, fresh tasting, classic sushi experience. Expertly crafted. Not every sushi restaurant has uni, so it's a sign they know what they're doing.

I wish I could give them a higher rating, but my husband and I waited about 50 minutes for 3 sushi rolls and when it came it was only OK... not bad but also nothing special. The server had a nonchalant attitude. We won't be going back

So far, my favorite sushi restaurant in Rochester. I tried three amigos and sweet salmon which were good. Salmon sashimi pieces were thin but average-sized. Their spicy chirashi is probably my favorite here. I've also tried beef yaki udon once but was not impressed. I have a feeling that their food besides sushi isn't very impressive. The servers and chefs have always been nice.

One of the best eat in sushi restaurants in Rochester. The sushi is always fresh, tasty and beautifully served. Only 4 stars for atmosphere because it can get loud if there are a lot of people there…

One of the few places with real crab options in their sushi. Dine in is often slow would recommend ordering ahead
Favorite sushi place around!! Have been a handful of times now and enjoy it every time! Service is always great.

The food was delicious except the shrimp tempura. They do not clean their shrimp well. I ordered chicken teriyaki, spicy california roll, and my mom ordered shrimp tempura and miso soup. Wish they had longer hours.

As noted in previous comments, it would be great if they could decide when they truly close. If you are open until 9:00 - or last seating is 8:30? why ice out customers who arrive at 8:15 as we did? We had just driven from out of state through a tough bit of weather for a funeral the next day. It was a Saturday night, and looking for a restaurant in walking distance, headed to Shema. We were glared at when we walked in - sat at a four top, and then told by the server (who was actually really nice) that they were out of all soup including miso, all noodles, and the Sushi bar was closing up in 10 minutes. It was not at all busy. We left, walked around the corner, and had an amazing dinner at a restaurant that took great care of us. With other great choices in Rochester - so many great restaurants! - it’s a shame they treat potential customers this way.
The sushi was really good! Everything very fresh and delicious!
