Really tasty breakfast food,, good portions at a fair price. Everyone I know that has had their food enjoyed it, no negatives from relatives.

I've been wanting to try this place out for a long time, and I'm finally happy to say I'm glad I finally did. The food is delicious and the service was great. I definitely want to come back when it's actually open and not during quarantine. I like the layout very simple. It looks like a great place to go with a few friends and family to catch up and enjoy a great meal. Thanks for the first time experience I'll definitely be back soon.

Most awesome hearty rustic sandwiches in the tri county area!!Freshest bread and quality meats and cheeses, like stepping back into a retro time...

Okay. Just okay. Too much. Too many competing flavors. I had the XL plate: spuds, sweet sausage, cheese and eggs over easy. My eggs were overdone and the sweet sausage was really TOO SWEET! Everything was coated in grease which wouldn't be bad if there were more distinct flavors. The cheese covering the eggs was just too thick. Pancakes were good. I think people think "quantity equals quality." I however don't believe that. If you want to get stuffed with very little nutritional value; here's the place. The coffee was better than average. It's a busy place, decor included. The bathroom was really dark so I can't comment on the cleanliness. I wouldn't eat breakfast there again. I'd try lunch.

Good food and prices but the wait is long sometimes. Waitress kinda forgot about our drinks. Overall, not a bad breakfast place.

This place was highly recommended to me and it did not disappoint. It is a small space and with it's popularity there is usually a wait. However I waited less time than I thought I would for a Saturday at noon. The serving sizes here are large and definitely fill you up. The food was quite good and the specials that were recommended tasted as good as they sounded.

Man let me just say this place right here has my heart for breakfast! This place has such good food! T-ball combo and M&M pancake!! The pancake took up a quarter of the table and 3 of us had to tackle it! Plan to come here then plan 30 minutes after to nap . Servers were awesome it was clean and lots of smiles.

This place is a trip. Their food is reminiscent of something you would see in a cartoon, and the staff are really upbeat and friendly. I would highly recommend checking this place out for an unforgettable experience.

Enjoyed lunch here with a group of 18. Food was delicious, staff was very accommodating. Big portions (everyone took some to-go). Larger parties can be a little tricky to manage but the team at Shmeg's made it seem easy. Terrific service. I'll be recommending this restaurant to others.

Amazing! Small place but feels like home. Staff is friendly and courteous. Food is incredible and always made with love (yes you can tell). Chicken and waffles was just perfect, as their food always is.

The best place in Rochester to eat breakfast. Delicious and creative. We got the chicken and waffles, plate and fruity pebbles pancake.

Good food for a good price... huge portion sizes... very friendly and the set up is almost like stepping back in time to a diner from the '60's... or your great grandmother's kitchen... loved it!!!

Nice breakfast spot. The homemade breakfast sausage was absolutely delicious! The pancakes where ginormous and the butterfinger special was a huge hit with the boy. So hope they reconsider the no CC policy going forward.

This is such a wonderful spot for breakfast. They are generous with the portions, actually it is filling and not over the top. The menu can be rather confusing, but it is a fun menu. My favorite is the X-M Plate and there are so many other, creative menu options. If you are looking for a decent breakfast, I highly recommend this place. Be prepared as some mornings there will be a lineup at the door.

This was our first time at Shmeg's after meaning to stop for a number of years. So glad we did. Don't let the few tables up front scare you that they may not be able to serve you...there are another 7 in the back. The decor is very basic and eclectic with mismatched tables and chairs. The staff was very friendly and our server Rachel was awesome. She clarified what some menu items were. I had the shaved steak breakfast burrito and my dining companion had the Mick toast (French toast encrusted with frosted flakes. Everything was so delicious. This may have been our first visit but it definitely won't be our last.
