Some of the best Patty’s in the city. Curry chicken is perfection.

If you are a YELPER, when you check-in, you get a free can of soda. You also have to wear a face mask, due to the Coronavirus. It's for everyone's safety. I've been here several times and always loved the food. I just learned that it has a new name (Yash Bowl Restaurant), but some friendly faces from the past restaurant is still here. One is the owner now. :-) I ordered a medium oxtail dinner with Mac and cheese, Rice and peas, and plantains. My son had brown stewed chicken, Mac and cheese, peas and rice with plantains. My husband had j*** pork, Mac and cheese, peas and rice with plantains as well. My husband and son ordered cocoa bread and beef patties, but I forgot to take a photo. The restaurant also have DELICIOUS pound cake. Omg, that cake taste like both my Grandmommy's cakes. One is from Georgia and the other one is from the Bahamas. Lord, I almost went back. I am not a cake eater, but it was 2 slices and I had to keep one for later. :-) The food was good, but I don't like rice, so I didn't eat any of that. The Mac and cheese was cheesy and delicious. The plantains were sweet and fried perfect. I NEVER eat all of my food from any restaurant, and this restaurant give you plenty of food. You can share with someone else if you're not a big eater. :-) If I'm on this side of town and still in Rochester, I will go back.

We stopped after googling for Jamaican restaurants, only Take Out is available. But the food was great! Friendly people, and almost as great as my friend, Nordia's Home cooked from Jamaica roots!

The guy that took our order was kind and patient while we decided what we wanted to order. Service was kind of slow considering the food was already cooked and in pots. I ordered curried chicken rice n peas and a side of plantains. The curried chicken was bland and it was dry like they used overcooked chicken breast. My husband ordered oxtail meal, it wasn't too bad, under seasoned is all. I don't see myself going back.
