The 4 star is for the experience. It's fun to have fondue, even more fun when someone does the prep work. The full meals seemed very pricey. We opted for the a la carte options, cheese and chocolate. We didn't leave full, but we left happy. I would like to go again, but for a light lunch or snack.

Went during Valentine's day. The entire restaurant was well organized and prepared for all the reservations and traffic that the holiday brought in. The food was phenomenal and just the experience Melting Pot brings with the fondue and self cooking is great. The service was outstanding and overall had an amazing night! Highly recommend for a date night or for good food.

One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Made a reservation for the week of Valentine's Day and we weren't even seated until over 30 minutes after our reservation. Nothing provided while we waited. After being seated, we had a really nice waitress who made our first fondue which was ok. After that we did not see her again until I asked for the check. A second waitress came by to bring us a second fondue, which was so watery that it would not stay on any of their dipping items. It took 15 more minutes for someone to come by for us to let them know - the waitress commented that the fondue was improperly prepared and kindly fixed it, although at this point we had pretty much lost our appetite. We asked for the bill and as we were leaving we asked to see a manager so I could let him know we were dissatisfied with the meal. The hostess told us a manager should have already been sent to our table - they weren't. The manager, Ken, was rude and incredibly defensive about the experience. "Our fondues are made with exact portions, there's no way they messed them up. You probably just didn't like it." Even the waitress had told us it was improperly made and he wouldn't back down. He gave us a 20$ credit for the bad experience but honestly I ripped it up on the way home because I would never go back.

Love this place! The food is awesome and the food just keeps on coming. We always get the 4 course meal and there are so many choices so you can get something new every time you come! Expect to spend 1-2 hours here. It’s a great experience and a great date night!!

We walked in without a reservation and had a great late lunch at this chic restaurant. It's located in mall and has an exterior entrance with parking. The server made our cheese and dessert turtle chocolate, right in front of us on the table. Then we cooked our main entrée of pre-cut and marinated meats with vegetables. It was very delicious and interactive.

My wife and I live this place, especially for special occasions. We went there for a date night and I added an extra for the romantic private tables. We ended up getting the same one that I proposed at. The service was amazing, our waitress was always checking up on us and the manager had a constant presence in the dining room. As always the food was amazing. They added an endless 4 course fondue to the menu. Surprisingly it is actually cheaper than the regular 4 course fondue. Plus it includes sirloin, filet, chicken, shrimp and ravioli for the main course. We even got a second plate of steak. Dessert was delicious as we got the candy bar which has milk chocolate, crunchy peanut butter, toffee, Bailey's and butterscotch schnapps. This is a perfect place for romantic dinners, everyday occasions and even just for dessert.

Love going to the Rochester Melting Pot any chance we get. The staff is so friendly and the managers are awesome. It's nice to see familiar faces that remember you. Gluten free options available for almost everything and the food is delicious. You might think it's pricey but really you're paying for a fun expensive! Who doesn't want 4 courses of fondue? Just kidding it's actually just 3 courses of fondue bc... ones a salad.

My friends and I went to enjoy the New Years Eve dinner they offered on FB. Myself and 8 others confirmed our time with the restaurant at 7:30. They offered two time slots 7-9 9-11 we chose the early time because we wanted to go and enjoy the night after our dinner (the earlier time was $ 10.00 more expensive). We arrived on time and were seated quickly however we would wait at least 30-45 minutes for a drink order. Then an additional 15-20 to order our food choices. The dinner included a set menu of items that guests could pick from two choices. After the app, salad, cheese portion, main entree and dessert we had been there for 3.5 hours. By the time we left it was 11:10. They gave us complimentary champagne while we wait for our dessert at 10:45.. however at that point we were ok with skipping dessert and leaving. Overall horrible experience. Food was ok, maybe new staff? I'm not sure what was going on. It wasn't super busy and the food should have been prepped before hand.... when you are at the melting pot you cook your own food so it was really bizarre as to why it was taking so long.

A low-key romantic dining experience in Rochester. We ordered classic alpine cheese fondue, apple bacon spinach salad, steak lovers and candy bar fondue. Everything was sooooo good. Portions are worth the price you pay. Loved the privacy curtain for our seating. Service was excellent. Definitely returning.
