NOISY Had to sit at SMALL table with same size table only inches away. Hard to hear person sitting across from me but neighbor heard my conversation. HUGE pancake really tasted good. Scrambled eggs were overdone. Waitress provided EXCELLENT service kept coffee cup filled.

Must've been here 50 times by now. Great food, GIANT pancakes, fair prices and nice staff. If you go at a popular time be prepared to wait! Weekdays its almost instant seating.

Best breakfast place EVER. We love it here. We drive all the way from Greece to eat here (OK, it's only 25 minutes...just explaining it's worth the effort). Food is great. Prices are great. Staff is great. It is always busy so you will need to wait a bit, but not bad...we usually go during the week closer to lunch time. Go...you will be happy you did.

Always a busy place but we were seated in 20 minutes. Leah was a wonderful server, vey attentive. Watching the cooks is a treat. Talk about a skilled group of men who bust their butts! Very hard working crew of men. I hope management recognizes the skill they have there.

This place is AMAZING! The service is impeccable, everyone was so friendly, prompt & accommodating. And the FOOD! Hands down the best diner I've ever been to! The hardest part of the experience is choosing from so many unique, delicious creative dishes!

Awesome place, huge pancakes, fresh food!

Warning: only get two pancakes if you're up for the challenge. The pancakes are large and delicious. They have so many options you could order something different every time. I look forward to coming back and trying something else.

Wow, that was a huge blueberry pancake. You have to share it, you can't eat the entire pancake.Well, maybe someone can... anyway I ordered the special with eggs and link sausage. Good food. Fair prices.

I love this diner! They have really good food with their pancakes being the biggest attraction. They are huge and delicious.

Usually pretty good. Took long time for food to get to out table, could see it sitting on the window, little cold. Also my order was wrong. Took so long to get original order that I didn't want to say anything.

Good Diner food. I don't know if I would consider what I are revolutionary but I would say it was quite good. If your in town you could do much worse than Steve's diner.

Extremely long wait on Sunday morning and very rushed waitress. Menu looked amazing so we ordered a few things to try. The poundcake black berry French toast was quite disgusting although it looked fantastic. the poundcake was absolutely the cheapest dollar store tasting foul "cake" ever. the berries were real tho, so...yeah. the peach pancake was big and contained some slices of canned peaches. my favorite item was the home fries which were seasoned deliciously. eggs n toast were also good. for such a long wait and not so great food it's definitely not worth another trip.

Our favorite place for breakfast. We have hearty appetites and we are never disappointed. Delicious omelettes, huge delicious pancakes, and pumpkin bread french toast that doesn't need butter or syrup. Something for everyone. They even have two locations!

Small restaurant, large menu. Good place to grab a bite to eat, generally have a waiting list as the place is often packed because their food is great

The homemade corned beef hash is very good. You will walk away full!

The food is great and the service is quick-food in 5 minutes!!! I usually get the pancakes in the morning and they are absolutely delicious! If you are looking for something quick, affordable, and good for eating out, this is the place.

They close at 2:30pm on Thursdays on their website and the hours sticker on the diner door. I showed up at 2:19 pm with my wife to enjoy a post surgery meal and the outside door was locked. I looked inside the glass door and one of the employees looked back and waved me off. I'll never attempt to go again.

A great little dinner we checked out on our way through Rochester ! It comes Highly recommended. The only concern is simply that there is just too much to choose from, you’ll just have to return.

A great place for breakfast. Clean, friendly staff, fast service, and LOTS of unique options on the menu. A gem!

Best Diner in Rochester. Great food, friendly staff. Been going here for years and never a bad meal. Popular days of week and time be prepared to wait in line. HINT: It's worth the wait.

Great food! Love the sausage links. A little pricey compare to other local places.

The bang for your buck here is absolutely amazing! The pancakes are so huge and very delicious. The candy bar pancake will send you to the dentist with how sweet it is, but let's be real, on a Saturday AM when you want to reminisce about Saturday morning cartoons, it is perfect! Everything on else on the menu is everything you would want it to be as well. I love the eggs benny & also the omelettes as well. You really cannot go wrong with anything here. Be sure to go early if you are going on a weekend or towards the end of breakfast. It can get very busy during peak times!

Without a doubt the best breakfast experience in the Rochester area. The food was hot, fresh and made from scratch. So many unique takes on traditional breakfasts and lunch. It's a huge menu, and I'm astounded that they can carry out the high quality with tons of items to prepare. Had the Gyro Omelette, with crispy dare I say McDonald's type hash browns except a hundred times better? They make a killer corned beef hash, and the eggs were perfect. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. What more could you ask for? Oh, I know....how about you start serving dinner? Can't wait to go back!

Worth the wait! Arrive early because it is always slammed but the food is amazing & portions are HUGE! Great classic diner. The Greek options are really good, and the pancakes are a must.

Went for the first time to Original Steve's Diner. I have always heard really good things about this place and I was NOT disappointed. I had the Cheeseburger and Bacon Omelette...with meat sauce on top,w/home fries ! Omelette was really good and the meat hot sauce was outstanding! My wife ordered the "Original Steve's Special " winch was 2 eggs, bacon and the biggest most fluffiest pancake I've ever seen! She really enjoyed it and said the pancake was delicious. Sadly I forgot my phone so no pictures . But trust me and all the other great reviews... this place is a Diner,drive-in and MUST Try! We will be back for sure!!!

Highly recommend this place. They have an array of amazing, unique options for everyone in the family. We sat at the countertops, which was in my opinion the best part because we could actually see all the food being made. The menu is one of the most uniquely tasty menus I've seen at a diner, the customer service is great and prices are reasonable. Be careful going on a weekend with a large group, as this place gets packed! Will be back to try some new and adventurous things!

What a lovely breakfast experience! My friend raves about this place, so we decided to go when I was in town visiting. I'm always a little hesitant with breakfast spots because typically the wait isn't worth the quality of the food. It was definitely worth it here! We gave the hostess our name, and while she said it was a 15 minute wait, we were seated within 5 minutes. A little more crowded inside, but we expected it. Their menu is extensive. Lots of omelette, pancake, wrap, and sandwich options. Tons outside of that too, if you're more of a simple bacon and eggs type of person. Prices are very affordable! I got a cheese omelette with a side of home fries. It was delicious! Simple, but the portion was huge, so it really filled me up. My friend got the vegan pancake with blueberries and absolutely loved it! Hopefully my path and Original Steve's will cross again someday.

Great selection of breakfast foods with good prices. Diner is clean and the staff is friendly. Would definitely visit again.

Back in the hometown, some friends and I had Sunday breakfast at Steve's. The short wait, we were warned by the locals among us, was well worth it. Delicious food, standard offerings and many other good choices, attentive service and competitive prices. Highly reccomended!

Fun specials and huge servings. Well executed breakfast food. Big fan

I ordered three pancakes. These ended up being three meals. They were all delicious. A great casual restaurant.

We come often for breakfast and we have had both good and bad experience. It is centrally located so it makes for a good spot to meet with friends.

Simply the best! Great prices and worth the wait. We were told the wait would be 25-30 minutes, but we were seated within 20 minutes. And this was on a Sunday morning, which is especially busy. I had the traditional eggs benedict. Definitely the best eggs benedict in Rochester! Such a large menu with so many great choices. You can't go wrong at Steve's!

I was kind of expecting a hole in the wall based on the name. It was not at all- new and modern and packed, even on a Monday. The hash browns were amazing- the ladies serving the food were so nice and so excited to tell the first timers about all the amazing things on the menu. The pancakes looked enormous, although we didn't try them. I had a pear and gouda omelette- i don't recommend it. The Gouda was really nice in an omelette but the pears were really bland and mushy. I'm not sure exactly what I expected when i ordered this but it missed its mark. We will definitely be back- lots of things on the menu looked great.

Let me first say Steve's was a favorite of mine for the longest time. The food quality is still great since the expansion of the building but the service and waitresses have absolutely plummeted. I guess gaining more space in the restaurant correlates with wait staff becoming rude and just short with you. Today we came in to order some take out and we walked back to the bar where you sit we were immediately scolded by two waitresses and corrected to go to the front to order out. Now we await our food which it's not even busy in the restaurant cause the wait staff have time to chat for 10 minutes at a time. Hopefully the food comes before they close.

Fav breakfast place. Huge pancakes. Love their special items (especially the breakfast bowl).
