My first time back to the restaurant in a while and I ordered the banana rum love cakes and a piece of metal was in my food buyer beware

At around 10:30 in the morning, I called to place an order for pick up. The person answering the phone said there was a very long line at the door and if that I could call back later. I was stunned that I just hung up on. A person calling to put in an order should be able to do so if the receptionist was able to pick up the phone. I will never call or visit the restaurant in person as the receptionist may represent a level of customer service that is poor.

This was my first time here. I specifically came for the different types of eggs Benedict. They have a page full of different types of eggs Benedict. I got the Greek one and my husband got the Crab Cake one. They were both delicious. The menu is full of different pancakes and breakfast options. I will definitely be back again.

Took a friend to lunch here. I ordered the Diner Breakfast Bowl based on a recommendation of the server. We got the last table in the place during lunch and our order came out very quickly. Our server was 100% correct that the sausage gravy was top notch. The dish was larger than expected and absolutely delicious. The server was on top of it all and very attentive. We felt very welcome from the moment we entered right up to the goodbyes from several employees as we left. I would and probably will come here again.

This one's not as large as the others, but Steve's is always a good bet. We went on an off day, and I think they had someone new in the kitchen. Ordered banana walnut crepes. Received crepes packed full of banana slices and walnuts, lol. I guess that fits the description - kinda funny. Was still delicious and would return.

Average food....nothing to write home about. Requested tomato juice was told they only have V8. Server did not deliver my sausage links....said she forgot to place the order. Waited 10 minutes to get them.

Corn beef hash was made with shaved potatoes as the primary ingredient with green pepper and corn beef a far 7th. I had 6 tiny pieces of corn beef in a burrito. Not one waitress stopped.by to refill coffees or check on us after our.table was served. We physically had to call over a waitress,I explained.that must have miss ordered so asked for a side of corned beef. What i got looked like i order hash brown potatoes, was not something I wanted as I wanted corned beef.
Was offered something else but by that time the rest of my party was finished.

3 people for lunch $80.00 , no I’m not kidding and that didn’t include the tip. This doesn’t just apply to this place but nowadays When you place your order you need to ask for full upfront pricing or you’ll be charged for every little thing. Covid is long gone - restaurants need to stop using the food cost as an excuse - costs have come down to just about normal pre - COVID.
Just going to stop eating out and I’m not the only one that feels this way.

Original Steve's is an easy five stars. The food is always excellent, and the menu offers a wonderful variety of options, so there is something for everyone. Every time we visit, the servers are incredibly friendly, and the restaurant itself is clean and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. My only minor suggestion is the addition of Google Pay for convenience, but that hardly detracts from the top-notch experience. We love this place and highly recommend it!
