Was in Rochester for a conference and had multiple people recommend The Red Fern to me without knowing I was vegan. Got the compost plate of course to really get the Rochester experience. Everything was delicious!

I didn't realize is was 💯 vegan. It was my fault. But the food was good and the place was pleasant

Extremely friendly and accommodating. My Fiancé has Celiac which can make it really difficult to eat out. The Red Fern knew exactly how to handle it and they have a separate kitchen prep station. On top of that, the food was spectacular! We will be making a point to eat here whenever we visit!

Edit: The owner contacted me and they were extremely professional and understanding and everything was resolved. We will be back soon!

Our visit today had multiple issues but I’m actually only upset about one thing- our server knew we were celiac because we said it multiple times and we were getting 2 cake pieces and 2 cookies to go because we already weren’t having a very good experience and when he handed them to us he gave us a completely different kind of cake that was not gluten free and when I mentioned it to him he acted super annoyed and took our boxes back then came back with the correct cake and my sister asked if the prices were the same because she paid already and he literally lied and said yes so I went to the counter and pointed out the cakes he charged us for were $8 each and the ones we actually got were $5 each and when I said something he acted extremely annoyed like it was our fault. It was super weird and uncomfortable. After having gone here for over 10 years we will not go back which sucks because it was one of the first good gluten free places we went but they clearly do not take the allergy seriously

We love the Red Fern! The food is delicious and the baked goods are AMAZING. Our all-time-favorites are the hot chicken sandwich and every single cake they make, but everything else is great too. We also love their kombucha options.

I placed my order to go. Used the restroom. 1. The carpet in the hallway should have told me to CANCEL MY ORDER !!! Dingggggyyy

The food lacked favor & imagination. I’m grateful that I didn’t get food poisoning or diahrhea. I love vegan food but this fell short. Went hear because of the 4.7 reviews. I don’t know who’s voting. The lentil burger, was like a warm mushy cow patty, slopped onto 2 thick pieces of ciabatta. The greens were good.

My Buddha bowl was a thumbs down.

The cookie was tasty!! Perhaps this place should only be a coffee shop.

I'm not even vegan, but I love coming to the Red Fern for dinner. A great restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, the staff is always understanding and makes sure to take care of my allergen concerns. And the deserts here are absolutely great even if I always have to get them to go because I'm full from dinner!
