*Incredibly unsanitary - smash room outfits are not cleaned after usage.* Went to this smash room for an event, and we were curious why we were given jumpsuits to wear that smelt like bad body odor. After we completed our session and were fully sweaty and exhausted, the employee took our jumpsuits and hung each one back up on the hangers - presumably for the next group after us to use! It makes me wonder if the gloves, the goggles, etc. are not cleaned either. It is truly disgusting that this establishments repeatedly reuses these article of clothing without washing them. For the cost to come here, go somewhere else to have your fun.

i was verbally harassed by a security guard here while i was waiting in the line to get inside. he said some really foul inappropriate and unnecessary things to me and others. was being very hostile despite me being calm during the situation since i was unsure why he felt the need to speak to me the way he did, he also hit me in the face while screaming at me to move back but giving no further instructions on where i was meant to go…. besides that i obviously did not go inside but people were flooding out due to multiple fight outbreaks inside of recreo. i liked the idea of this place and was excited to find out was it was like inside but instead i was harassed and screamed at, i definitely will not go here again.

Service is bad. Too many people behind the bar looked me in the face without addressing me. Didn't even bother getting a drink. Pretty sure people are walking out without paying and pretty sure IDs aren't getting checked on Saturday night.

I made a reservation and got a text 4 days before that said they had to cancel my reservation and move it to a different weekend. I said I could not do a different weekend and shortly after I got a text that said they moved my reservation to the following weekend, despite me saying that wouldn't work. I called and explained and they said they would look into it and call me back. I never received a call back and had to follow up with them multiple times. Ultimately, they canceled my reservation. Very disappointed.

Stopped here for my first time last Friday and really enjoyed my experience! Drinks were strong and delicious. Bartenders were nice and experienced. Skeeball in the back was a blast (.75c per game). I'd recommend visiting!

The BEST spicy margaritas. Amanda makes the best guava jalapeño margs. Definitely worth a check out as it's the best marg I've ever had!!

0% chance I'll return. The bartenders were so rude, rolling their eyes at us and ignoring me when I said thank you. Ordered 3 cocktails and tipped 30% so not sure what the problem was

Although the menu is small all the food options are great and they have a great selection of spirits, craft beers and cocktails. Skeeball is nostalgic fun and the smash room is a great stress reliever

I understand the vibe that this bar is trying to achieve. However, for the cost of everything, the value isn't there. There isn't food that attracts the masses. As a vegetarian, I was pretty much out of luck. The cocktails while interesting, were very complicated. There is definitely a crowd for it, but not for us. Service was quite slow. If understaffed, I'm not sure why they opened after renovation, without being fully staffed. The music was overwhelming as well, and the floor was incredibly sticky, I have to imagine from the night before. I'm sure they will adjust to have success, but for now it's not for us!
My friends and I went here for a 21st birthday party. Bright colors, dim lights and color art; the atmosphere was very fun and energetic. Perfect for pictures. Food was good. There were 5 of us so we all got something different to try a bit of everything. The waiter was fun and charismatic, really knew how to have a conversation and keep the mood light. Drinks were very tasty. Overall, would go again!

I've been recently for the first time and the bartender was rude ..I'm new to ordering drinks and he didn't make the situation any easier and proceeded to talk bad about me to the customers next to us...wasn't a great first time experience for that reason alone it was not only embarrassing but gave me more anxiety about ever ordering drinks again. The smash room was a blast thoe. A good place other then that no complaints .

I wish I could remember his name, but the exceptional bartender at Recreo last night made it a great experience! He was knowledgeable and friendly, and clearly knew how to make a good drink! I had the white gin cocktail and my partner had a Fifth Frame beer. We appreciated the interesting cocktails and range of craft beer options. The decor was also really vibrant and interesting. Great little stop if you're on East--we popped in after a show at Anthology, and will be back!

Love the vibe at are Recreo! Chatted with Ian who was knowledgeable and passionate about the cocktail menu. He provided excellent drink recommendations that catered to my taste. Additionally, Amanda makes an exceptional gin and tonic! The bar art is gorgeous! Staff is friendly and accommodating. Come see the team at Recreo and have a drink!
