Thought this place would be cool, but it ended up just being cold. The staff was more interested in talking amongst themselves then paying attention to any guests.
They had the back door open, and the heat turned off when it’s 28 degrees outside. Eventually someone exclaimed that they forgot to turn the heat on, meanwhile my wife was shivering.
The drinks were very citrus heavy, if you like tart and sour drinks that taste like pure lemon juice than maybe this is the place for you but I personally like something a bit more balanced.
I love the vibe, I love the decor, but I can’t see myself returning any time soon.

This place was great! I mean, walking in was almost like a portal. The aesthetic was on point for a spiritual parlor with so many interesting and detailed poems and art to take in. And the drinks, omyyy.. seriously, among the best crafted drinks I have ever had. My partner and I both enjoyed immensely.. a+!! The drink menu is super interesting to read, with a light intro into the origins of the spiritualist movement. And, you can ask to pull a tarot card to drink for whatever the universe calls for. Speaking of tarot, Seamus was on the corner doing readings.. and mannn was he legit. He has a reverence for the cards and life in general. I really appreciated his knowledge and outlooks. The owner, Jake, has put so much energy and heart into this parlor, and he runs it effortlessly. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you are into spiritual practices of any kind. Oh, and shoutout to Henry on the old piano. What a treat to add to the atmosphere.

So many of the reviews you see here are spot on. The Spirit Room has been one of my favorite places to go. However, after a recent trip there I was charged an extra $180 tip on top of a $105 bill. This is not the amount I put on the receipt, I left a $20 tip. I got charged $180 more ($305 total) than a $20 tip which should have been $125. I have attempted texting the owner, calling the business number, calling his cell number, messaging on Facebook, all to no avail. Radio silence and totally ignoring me.
I am now pursuing the charge as fraudulent with my bank and will not consider going here again as I could not afford to pay more than double without authorization.
Please get in touch with me, man. :( Real lame.

Such a cool spot with lots of things going on. We got a tarot card reading, a live band was playing and they had a drag show later in the evening.
The drinks were good. The bartender was really nice and super funny. We had a great time.

Such an awesome atmosphere ✨️
Surprisingly expensive food and drink, but that may just be the new norm. The staff was kurt but kind. I visited during Fringe Fest for a show. We arrived a bit early for a drink. The missed drinks were alright, but a bit pricey for house/well liquor.
The decor was occult and there was plenty to look at. I could spend an hour staring or more, and not see everything on the walls. I found the ventriloquist dolls particularly creepy, but I'm pretty sure that's the point.
There was a pianist playing a wide selection of oldies, but the piano was painfully out of tune, so I hope that gets some attention soon.
There is an adjoining retail space turned performance space. It's a bit small, but perfect for spoken word or small black-box productions.
All in all, not a bad space and worth a visit, but it won't be for everyone, and I feel that's on purpose.
Parking: Evenings and weekends the paid parking areas are free to park, but until then, all nearby parking is paid.

The bartender is very tolerant. Recited us a poem for a dollar. My friend is in love with them now.

Cool place, I'd go again
This place is truly spectacular. If you’re into magic, mystery, or just generally spooky this place will hit the spot. The cocktails are 100% on point and they go the extra mile with cocktail presentation. There are performances in a side room and a stage in the main room.
If you’re a mystery artist or interested in that image, this is the place. If I were to design a Magic themed establishment for serving cocktails it would like 80% like a clone of this place.
