Sadly arrived at 6:45 with a reservation took sometime for service not overly busy placed order 25 minutes later informed wife's selection unavailable you would hope the kitchen would share with the wait staff when out of items next selection made 50 minutes later meals arrived 2nd selection also short ordered kitchen took it upon themselves to substitute bread and raw zucchini and celery sticks to make up for additional items not available for menu item not special item ordered. The other 3 guests got fish fry specials sadly over done but edible wife ordered hot tea twice served cold. Waitress pleasant but could have used support to second floor as she had to make numerous trips to serve a party of 4 staff acknowledged poor service did no charge for mediocre soup. Nice facility but unable to meet menu items offered may try again but I would check to make sure items available
******* I have to acknowledge the restaurant owner stepped up to my service review apologized acknowledged the short coming and refunded the meal certainly worthy over another try. THANK YOU
This is the first negative review I have submitted regarding a business in years. I wasn't going to bother, but my husband and I were so disappointed, and actually shocked by the lack of service and the employees' attitude that I just had to pass this along. We have gone to this business many times, but usually it is for drinks after a nice ride through the park. However, my husband likes a good fish fry so we decided to try it. The first time,, a few weeks ago, after we were seated the waitress informed us they were out of the fish fry. No problem, we decided on fish and chips, which were very good. The next time we went, the kitchen closed early. Apparently a good review on Facebook drove a great deal of business. Of course, this is great news especially for a local owned business, which we make it a point to patronize if possible.
Last night was a disaster! We arrived around 7 pm to be sure we would get his fish fry. They person who greeted us said it would be 45 minutes to an hour. My husband asked if they would have fish available, and she checked and said that it should not be a problem. We left our name, got a couple of drinks, and told them we were going out front. No Problem. My husband even went back in for another glass of wine. After awhile I noticed many people coming out, and others going in so we went and asked about our table. The server said they forgot and were now out of fish. I asked to speak with a manager, and Amy came over. She was very flustered, said they were just very busy and had forgotten about us. I did ask at that point, what was the purpose of taking my name, and how did this process work. No explanation at all; basically that's just how it is. When I screw up, and this was a screw-up, the first think I do is apologize. Nope! That was not happening here. I told her I was not paying for our drinks, and proceeded to the front of the bar to finish our drinks. As we were sitting there discussing the situation, and how disappointed we were I made a joke about maybe Bar Rescue should be called. Another patron, a couple of seats away, who had just walked in, interjected with his comments. I quietly, and politely, told him he did not know the circumstances, and therefore it was really none of his business. At this point the bartender came over, and said we were being disruptive. Absolutely not! I've been there before, and I know what disruption, and rudeness looks and sounds like. You know, I had even taken out a tip for her because of course none of this was her fault. Actually, it isn't anyone's fault. Life happens. Mistakes are made. I get that. But as a service provider, when you have a dissatisfied customer, the first thing is to apologize, and see if there is anything that can rectify the situation. Will we go back? I'm not sure. Maybe we are banned for life?
The service and food is always top notch. The fact that the building has so much local history is a major plus. We definitely recommend!
Just arrived to Irondequoit after being away 12 years. We came in at 745 pm, they close at 9pm. Don’t think they were happy to receive our table of 3. Wish they would have told us the kitchen was wanting to close, we would have happily gone elsewhere. Our waitress was short with us. When we ordered, 3 haddock meals, we were informed only one was available unless they cooked the haddock from frozen. No biggie, husband ordered the fish fry $20 and sister in law and I ordered the hamburger special $10. Husbands fish was a heavy batter. The outside was crispy but the batter near the fish was wet and gooey. The hamburgers were good. The fries on the haddock were proper but when comparing my fries to his. My fries looked like the dregs from the bottom of the fryer oil (not the fryer basket) and looked like cheeses curds (size).
Boneless wings were great. Catfish sandwich was ok. Music was fun.
Place very dirty especially Bar area and behind the Bar. Dining room area didn't even walk into cause I saw dirty mop bucket in the area so we absolutely didn't eat . The money you spend on advertising would be better used power washing the entire place (can't even imagine what the kitchen looks like). Had one drink and walked out
Food was good atmosphere was lively service was excellent
Had a party of 7 go for dinner last night & had the rudest waitress ever. some of us had questions about the meal that we were interested in ordering and we’re asking questions about it and she gave us rude answers with an attitude. Then after we all got our meals, we all need a different condiments, like mustard, ketchup, barbecue sauce, extra lemon, tartar, sauce, etc, and she was very annoyed that she had to keep running to the kitchen to bring us out our condiments. In fact, she even said with an attitude I’m gonna start charging you all. Really? So you expect someone to eat a burger without any condiments? You expect someone to have pulled pork with no barbecue sauce? We felt that we were definitely not wanted there and that we were causing her too much trouble. Well, don’t worry we won’t be troubling her anymore, as we will never be back!
First time visiting and it was great all the way around. Extensive beer and cocktail list to start, I had a Three Heads Blueberry Belgian Waffle Cream Ale. The Fish Fry was amazing, nailing the perfect balance between a crispy coating with a tender, flaky haddock filet...no mushiness anywhere to be found and the house tartar sauce added another dimension that might have made this the best fish fry I ever had. I was actually saddened a bit when I finished the last bite. The "chip" like fries were excellent as well...good on their own, crispy and salted just right, no ketchup was needed.
Service was prompt and friendly and the 60's era Seabreeze hey-day ambiance made for a cozy early dinner as the place was filling up with regulars who were engaging as well I'll be back and will probably add this to my wife's and my regular rotation.

First time here for food , waitress seemed flustered and not organized somewhat. She skipped around a few tables trying to get orders and drinks ,it could be that a bunch of people showed up all at once but she was nice especially from the rear Lol . Took awhile to get our food but when it came out it was hot fresh and pretty tasty. I would not get the pan seared fish again it was dry. Pot roast was good. I would go back again for something different. I can say it's a cool old building for sure.

It was so disappointing!!! Nothing like the Reunion!
From mixed drinks to the food (a hamburger no less) absolutely the worst!!! Will never be back!
Had a $10 dollar burger on Tuesday Happy hour with an old friend. Was a good place to sit at the bar and talk. Bar tender was friendly and keep the beers coming. Wish they had more on tap. Has plenty of parking out back.

Went there Friday nite, sat at the bar for 20 minutes, never asked what we wanted. Served four other arrivals after us . Walked out, and went next door to Nicks for great Italian. Hostess told us that another couple came over after having the same experience.
