One companion had the octopus which was perfectly prepared. Looking forward to our next visit. Update 1/23/26 Still a great little spot. Perfect for our pre- GEVA meal and catch up time with friends. Keep up the good work.

This place has it all. Great food, craft cocktails, great atmosphere and the price point is good for many demographics. Alex was our server/bartender and was very professional and provided the best service and drinks. The owner was on sight and was extremely engaging and made our evening feel like we were special guests. Highly recommend.

Came for the duck thigh, but ended up not getting it because of the amazing $1 oyster special on Thursdays. A rotating selection of oysters all night long! Paired with the delicious white garlic parm wings and the broccolini as a side, it was great meal. What stood out to me was the atmosphere. It's the kind of spot where the bartenders know the regulars and the regulars invite you into the conversation. Definitely a spot I plan to visit again next time I'm in Rochester.

My sons and I were at an appointment in the area and The Vesper was recommended. Although we didn’t have a reservation the host was very accommodating. We started with the wings - sampled all 3 - and all were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our entrees were the fish of the day - halibut in a miso potato broth, strip steak and amazing cauliflower and I had the crab cakes with the side salad. We shared a chocolate crème pistachio brûlée and left happy and full. Thank you to the chef and team for a fantastic meal. Excellent service ~ chill atmosphere ~ we will definitely return. I love NYC and the Vesper has the Tribeca vibe. We also enjoyed watching the skateboarders in the community skate park which is across the street. Go to the Vesper - you won’t be disappointed.

If you are looking to take yourself out this is a great place to enjoy a steak, some wine and book at the bar. The staff and very friendly and comfortable to be around. The steak is absolutely amazing and the oysters are very well done.
