If you are looking to take yourself out this is a great place to enjoy a steak, some wine and book at the bar. The staff and very friendly and comfortable to be around. The steak is absolutely amazing and the oysters are very well done.

The crew at The Vesper helped my stomach remind me it can indeed fit more when the food is that good. The plate of fish, potatoes, and leaky goodness was phenomenal, as was my experience. A big thank you to the chef, kitchen, and excellent service staff!
Had a great time here and would recommend a visit to anyone. Our server was excellent and gave us a bunch of great recommendations including the seafood cakes and the burger. Very inviting atmosphere and friendly staff.

You can’t go wrong dining at The Vesper, their hospitality is unmatched in the US.
Dietary restrictions: I suffer from an immunodeficiency and the owner and chef, Neil Fahy, was extremely accommodating. He went above and beyond to make sure I wouldn’t suffer from an intolerance to his food. His level of care for the satisfaction of his customers is truly unmatched. My meal was delicious and I felt great after dinner, a rarity for me when I dine out. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.

They easily have one of the best food and drinks in Rochester. I eat out a lot. I am coming back here soon for my husband’s b day. In my 7 years of being with him, we have never deviated from “our birthday spot” but this year we will, for the first time because that’s how good Vesper is.
The service is great. The interiors are moody, dark and romantic, not too loud either which makes it a perfect date night spot.
My only suggestion is that I’d like to see some steak on the menu as well.
