Went to a wedding in the area. Tried a few coffee shops in the area and it was definitely hit or miss. At the wedding I asked a cousin and his wife where should I go before my road trip back home. They said Ugly Duck. Definitely Ugly Duck. No question Ugly Duck. Next day we packed up, left our Airbnb, and drove to Ugly Duck. We explained we are new and it was recommended by friends. So accommodating! They answered all our questions. They asked us how we wanted our coffees and we're extremely polite and gracious and informative. Will always stop by when back to Rochester.

Took my friend out for coffee to get her out of the hospital as she was in for a week with a newborn. The shop itself was very mediocre and not very clean. The waiters were polite and helpful. I had the Snug, I believe. I really enjoyed it as well as the chocolate chip cookie! Probably would try another coffee shop next time because of the leftist atmosphere.

In my search for the best espresso in Rochester (after having made a trip to Portugal with great espresso available at every corner) I tried a cortado last week here. It was great. Ambiance is bright, location is central, and service is top notch.

Love the minimalist vibe and the cinnamon roll pairs perfectly with their espresso. Great place to get work done or chill. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

First time visit! Fabulous atmosphere. Super chill and cozy vibe. Friendly staff and excellent menu! I had the Cenobite (Love the homage to Hellraiser BTW) which is Earl Gray tea with Lemon, Vanilla, Milk and Black Pepper. Fabulous! I could start my day like this every day if I lived in city. Highly recommend!
