So I FINALLY came for a visit with a friend. I remember when this area was kind of barren. All that was around was Harts (now gone), 2Vine now REDD and some nice Appartments. From what I was told this space was an art shop:gallery. The person who started this spot was originally doing Pop-Ups at Scratch Bakery when it was on Park as well as other places. This free standing space is cool and it looks like they have an outdoor space to sit outside during the warmer months. The inside is not huge but well lit and bright. Lots of plants around and plenty of merchandise for UGLY... no joke. The list of coffee/tea etc is pretty compact but that's fine. They also offer some bakery goods I guess they use different ones each cycle.. but don't quote me on that. I was not feeling the selection they had and just got a drink. This spot was busy and I can see why most people will get their coffee to go. We were lucky to get a seat and a small table. They brought our drinks to us. I had the EARL TEA SHIRT EARL GREY CARDAMOM MAPLE ICE MILK I liked it came in a large cup and saucer a nice touch and I loved the color of them. My friend got I believe a macchiato or something I can't remember but it came in a smaller version of my cup set. The drinks were good, prices are pretty much what you would expect at a coffee shop. My question and I should have answered do they have WiFi? I get the feeling people come here to visit not work. Staff is hella hustling the drinks. Would I come back, sure if they do outdoor seating that would be lovely and a lot less crowded inside. Nice staff and good drinks. If you are hoping the seating is comfortable it's not.. sorry not sorry. I had a nice visit with my friend and that was priceless. The parking situation to be frank I think is only street as I'm not sure if you can use the lot by REDD.

Service, space and price were all excellent. The drip coffee was very bitter. I would go back, but for a latte instead.

Nice place and very good coffee, although the food selection was average. The guys running the place seem nice. The outside of the shop is a bit nondescript and wasn't super easy to find, but worth a visit.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegan and gluten free options.Dietary restrictions: Ample dairy free and gluten free options.

My favorite coffee shop in Rochester. Always friendly, consistent quality, cozy atmosphere, and knowledgeable staff when you’re feeling indecisive. My only complaint is that I don’t live closer so I could go more often.

Some of the best coffee in the area! I have frequent appointments a few streets away and always make sure to stop in at Ugly Duck! Great staff and great coffee!

Not really anything special on the menu, just a typical coffee bar. My latte was good, but my fiancé and I would love to see some specialty drinks to choose from. Very small hipster spot that’s hard to find parking. I would recommend getting a coffee to go if you visit.

Ugly Duck Coffee has to be my favorite place in Rochester. The coffee is amazing made by the best of the best baristas. I really can't say enough good things about this place. It has a community and a friendliness that means a lot. I love spending time here and look forward to it as an integral part of my routine. Rory and the rest of the crew here are the best.

Best coffee. Most inventive latte flavors, especially if you aren't looking for the overly sugared type. I had the "Everything Nice Latte" (ask for it!) & my other family members had the "Sun Salutation" w/ added Espresso shot. So yummy! Such a kind and knowledgeable staff. I just wish there was a bit more seating inside.

Might be the best oatmilk iced mocha latte, ever. Love their menu, service, and flavors. Huge fan of the vegan treats they stock from Black Cat Baking Co. - there was a blueberry 'poptart' that is missing in the photo because I ate it so quickly. Absolutely delish. 10/10!

Excellent coffee! It was hard to figure out seating! The service was good! They can make more room to save the unused space!

Love their speciality coffees. Gets packed on weekends so definitely go on a weekday for more ample seating. Only downside is they do not have WiFi but I think that's fits what they want to portray.
