Food and service very good. Kinda expensive for what you get.

A pleasant atmosphere to enjoy tasty shrimp, crawfish and more with friends! Decent portion sizes that almost get cold by the time you're 80% through. Would go again!sysmem-missys-Fyffe4

I went for lunch after hearing about this restaurant from a colleague. The menu is limited and primarily focused on crawfish and shrimp boils. For those unfamiliar with crawfish boils, it is typically crawfish, andoille sausage, potatoes, and corn all cooked together in a Cajun seasoned broth. The shrimp are still shelled and the crawfish are fully intact so you need to rip them open and clean them before eating. There are three choices of seasonings. Cajun, garlic parm, and "mojo". Cajun boils include sausage, potatoes, and corn and the other two are served with just white rice. I ordered a spicy cajun boil. The taste is similar to other boils I have had in the past. The flavor can be somewhat difficult to get into the crawfish so if you rely soley on the boil broth for flavor, the end result is somewhat bland. If you aren't used to this, you are going to be disappointed. If they were able to provide seasoned butter and Frank's on the side to dip your cleaned crawfish into, it would do a lot to add to the flavor of the meal. Combos are available that include a drink and Cajun fries. If you are getting a Cajun boil, the added food is more than enough without having the fries...I'd skip on the fries if I go again and pick a Cajun boil. Portions were large and definitely filling. I will probably only go back if others wanted to try it out. The boil is how a boil should taste so I can't really knock the restaurant for that. I gave the restaurant 4 starts because the boil was good for what it is. I just would rather eat other places for a more flavorful dish.

Poboys r the best. Cajun fries also good. Pass on the fish balls.

The food here is honestly good! It's perfect if you have lived in a big city before. They have a lovely menu with items I used to have all the time when I was living in New York. I have been looking for a good ethnic food spot since I came to Rochester, and this so far has been the best place other than a couple of Indian restaurant. I was shocked when people say they made their food wrong just because it was authentic. The seafood boil is perfect! Love the popcorn chicken. Cajun fries are so good! I made my bf to get me the popcorn chicken everyday for five days on a row. That's how good it is!

My boyfriend and I had 2 bowls of ramen, mine with squid and his with crawfish. It took forever to come out, and my squid was cold. Both bowls of soup were very oily/greasy. It came in a giant bowl, which I honestly didn't like. We took his leftovers home, and I found a hair in it later. Definitely won't be going again.

I've been twice now using a Groupon for a family combo. The Groupon was for crawfish, shrimp, squid, and crab legs. The first time I went was so incredible, I wanted to go again a week later! Sadly, there was some major consistency issues the second time. For the same Groupon, the portion was significantly smaller, less flavorful, and more dry. The pictures really illustrate the disparities. The first time I went the seafood was perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and delicious. Beyond the consistency issue, the service is subpar pretty much every time. I'm hoping by the next time I go some issues have been straightened out. I really did enjoy the seafood and hope they work the kinks out.

I have to say it was just what I expected, I ordered delivery. Came on the traditional southern plastic bags. We laid some newspaper on the table just like everyone does, and started digging in. The crawfish is fresh, and easy to peel. Not chewy at all. I ordered the traditional mild seasoning and paired it at home with some butter and old bay, and it tasted fantastic. Not only the food was good but the southern experience is definitively there as well. I would recommend you get the potatoes as a side they were the best out of the others.

I didn’t like the food that was served. Honestly, I was in Charleston for 2 yrs and I think the southern food is very flavorful. The things on the menu seemed like they had a Asian or Southern twist to it but the taste wasn’t anywhere like it. The popcorn chicken was dry and tasted bland. The grilled squid comes lying down on a sticky plate of rice. It tastes bland too. The other thing I ordered was some poboy sandwich. That was decent but I felt something was not fresh about the chicken. Service was sad. The guy at the counter needs to work on his attitude towards customers. He looks like he’s being forced to work there. He doesn’t make much of an eye contact, doesn’t have most of the things you ask for..I found him very impersonal. The senior who cooks came across as pleasant. Not a place I’d go again! Sorry.. it’s a bad review but heck.. I paid 19$$ for a zero culinary experience. They need to get their act together!!!

Not a big fan of crawfish, but the beef and pork is absolutely phenomenal. Definetly worth a trip here even if you're not a fan of seafood. Great atmosphere and great food!

The concept for this restaurant is interesting but the execution of it is less to be desired. I went with a group of 4 of us to check out their seafood selection and their other ethnic snacks on their menu and ramen. We were the only ones in the restaurant on a Friday night but from the get-go, we found the customer service to be not that welcoming. We had asked the younger gentleman at the counter for some extra paper menus to bring to our table and he said he only had 3 copies and if we wanted another copy for the 4th person, he would have to print out another copy. That seemed strange you would only have 3 copies of your menu for the whole restaurant but I also know they are sort of new with adding items to their current menu. To us, his appearance seemed like he didn't want to be there but we later found out he was sort of the brains behind the restaurant so that was weird to us. The older gentleman who was cooking though was very friendly and nice to us. Our group ordered the ethnic snacks of Taiwanese fried popcorn chicken, Malaysian fish balls, Laotian grilled squid and Cajun fries. My family background is Taiwanese so I was interested to see how the popcorn chicken would turn out. Out of the snacks we tried, we only really liked the fish balls. The popcorn chicken wasn't cooked well enough, the batter was too light colored that didn't make us want to eat it. The squid came out on a bed of rice and the presentation was off, it lacked flavor and the rice was mushy. Some pieces were blackened but then some parts tasted uncooked and not fresh. It was also hard to cut and sort of chewy. The seasoning on the fries also tasted funny to us. The fish balls on the other hand were nice and had a nice meat filling in it. I have these types of fish balls in my culture. The owner didn't know what sauce to serve with since it was brand new on the menu so he said we could have it with the Po'boy sauce. The sauce was nice but I think it would go better with a curry sauce as I know they tend to have curry fish balls in Malaysian cuisine. In terms of our entrees, my friend got the shrimp bowl, I got the crawfish ramen, my other friend got the chicken po'boy and my other friend got the fried pork on rice. All of us commented that the entrees and their seasoning just seemed off to us and just made it less appetizing to us. I am not sure what some reviews were saying about the seafood being fresh and down south because I have been to New Orleans before and the crawfish I ate in my ramen seemed fresh but was off putting and nothing to write home about. My friend who has been to Juicy Seafood restaurant said their seafood was a lot better. The ramen I couldn't stomach lacked the authentic flavor and tasted bland to me. As well, the broth to ramen ratio was off with not a lot of broth and it tasted very artificial/instant to me. I think I could have made a better ramen at home, I am sad to say. My friend couldn't eat the chicken po'boy since she said the chicken tasted funny despite the large portion size. My another friend had the fried pork and it has the same batter on the fried pork as the popcorn chicken which also didn't appeal to her. I think the owners have a neat concept for sure with adding the new ethnic snacks on the menu but we aren't sure what the vision of the restaurant is, are they focusing on food down south or just creating an eclectic food from around the world? And if they have a restaurant name of what! crawfish! they should focus on just the crawfish or down south seafood. Hopefully they can continue to work on their execution and culinary skills to have staying power here especially in Henrietta where there are a lot of competing restaurants. We did enjoy the decor though and didn't think it was that off-putting with the mismatched chairs and tables as other Yelpers have reviewed.
