I like hot pot as the broth tastes good and you get a decent selection of items/veggies to choose from as part of the base hot pot charge. The meat is extra and steep in price and I would not suggest it. Most recently, the vegetables have become sparser and they provide mostly 3 or more types of noodles, cheap veggies and the seafood balls and other items are not good. The place has to be cleaned up as it seems to have gotten much sirtier lately and the upkeep is lacking. Additionally, given this is pretty much a buffet type of restaurant, we didn't appreciate the mandatory "tip" fee tacked on to the bill, especially when we never really saw the server other than when she first came and then again to get some dirty dishes. I would NOT recommend it given the high price for what you get and I would not go there again after I had gone ther numerous time over the past couple of years.

I'm happy that we ignored the negative reviews about the staff. We had a wonderful experience. Great service and delicious food. Way overpriced for what you get. It was an experience for sure and if it were priced better we definitely return.

A first time for me and I went with a friend who's a regular and was able to show me the ropes. We both ordered the Chicken Hot Pots and what a great experience! You choose a broth and then they bring it out and place it on your burner and you control the temperature. The choice of toppings, veggies and sauces to add were incredible and all for just $20. I look forward to bringing my kiddos here, I know they'll love it! The service was also excellent!

Rude servers. My husband and I ate in this restaurant 2 times, and every time servers were borderline rude. We went for lunch today again, for the third time, because my husband likes hot pot, and I like their variety. This was on 1/21/24, around 1:20 pm. The server didn't finish taking our order, and run off to serve other guests right in the middle of us ordering. She never came back. We asked her for help again, then one more time, and each time she waved us off like you would a fly. We left upset, because why would we let anyone treat us this way, and then pay them our $. We are not coming back. There are other places to eat, including hot pot for my hubby, where they are happy to see us and serve us.

Yummy Garden is an excellent Hot Pot experience. The server we had was absolutely wonderful and extremely attentive. The hot pot was astounding. I personally had the spicy pot and it was flavorful and soaked perfectly into all of the ingredients I had to cook. I brought two friends who had never had hot pot before and the staff was very helpful in suggesting options for them for a first time broth as well as how to cook the food. My personal favorite touch was there are two signs, one that had a sauce suggestion chart and another that has a time suggestion for cooking each ingredient in your hot pot. I highly recommend this for anyone who is curious about hot pot or has had hot pot before and looking for an enjoyable experience.

Walked in didn't feel comfortable. Felt like a diner. No atmosphere . Won't be back. 15%mandatory tip. Would have left more. But now I know why it's mandatory I'm sure they get stiffed often.

I thought the food was ok. My friend enjoyed it. You get to cook your own food in the warm pot of broth they put in front of you.

I would give 0 stars if that was an option. This was the worst experience I ever have had in my life. The waitress who stated she was also the manager was the most disrespectful and rude person I have ever met. She was aggressive and dismissive from the second we entered the restaurant. About 30 minutes into our meal so came up to our table and started grabbing the spoons from our hot pots and stirring each one to see what we had left in them. She yelled that we better eat all of the meat or she would be weighing it and charging us extra. She even did this to our children's hot pots. We were still eating!! Yes they have a rule if you order to much food they will charge for what you don't eat but the point is that we were not done and she aggressively came to the table and put her hands on our spoons we were still using and telling us that we order to much. I couldn't believe it. I told her that we were still eating and we would be happy to pay for anything AFTER we were done. We did have a tray of food but that's because we had 9 people in our party! She then stood about 10 feet away and leaned against a wall and aggressively stared at us like we were criminals. She stopped waiting on other tables to literally watch us and glare at us. She then walked over to us and started grabbing our spoons again to check our hot pots! Mind you we had only been here about 40 minutes at this point and you have the table for 2 hours. She was asked to stop harassing us and it got to the point where our kids were crying. I can't believe how bad we were treated at this establishment. I highly encourage you to find a different hot pot restaurant to eat at unless you like to be yelled at and treated like a criminal . This restaurant used to be great. I have heard it recently changed hands. Well I can tell you that the change in Management has ruined this place.

I went to Hot Pot with a group of friends and had the strangest experience. The food was decent, but I would NEVER go back based on everything else. We ordered the BBQ and Hotpot for 9 ppl. From the moment we were seated the server was aggressive, rude and constantly speaking over us. We should of left then, but stayed trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. About halfway through our meal she came over to our pots and started scooping through them, and yelling that we have to pay for the meat (full disclosure- they do have a policy to pay for uneaten food, however WE HAD NOT EVEN FINISHED EATING). When we asked her to let us finish, she stood across from us and stared aggressively the entire time. We asked her to let us eat without the akward stare and then said she was calling the cops because we won't pay. WE NEVER SAID THAT. We had no problem paying...but wanted to when we finished, and for only the food we would have been required to pay for. It got so akward we cooked the food, and asked to box it up to go. That reaulted in our bill being $30 higher based on their policy. This is food we would have eaten and had already paid $44 per person to eat. According to the Police who responded, this is a problem that occurs there often. Save yourself the trouble and find another hot pot option!

terrible service. we're watched the entire time we ate. manger came over and snatched a spoon out of my soup because "I was wasnt eating fast enough". she called the cops on us because we "weren't eating". We had kids with us and the manager caused a scene all because we weren't eating at her rate. the other staff was incredible nice. According to the police this has happened on multiple occasions and not just us! Pick somewhere else to go!

Was super excited to try this place out as it's the only hot pot restaurant in Rochester. Service was decent and we had reservations so we were seated pretty quickly. It ended up being pretty cold inside despite eating hot pot. Each person gets their own individual hotpot so you don't have to share but I found that the sauces and the broth were lacking in taste. It's not bad for a hot pot place but definitely didn't have the taste or quality as other hot pot restaurants I've been to. I guess if you're craving hot pot, this is a decent option. Although we will probably stick to doing hot pot at our own house in the future.
