Came to visit this place for the first time and I live close. And all I can say is it’s great . A great pizza place in rockaway! The atmosphere is great, it looks like the workers enjoy doing their job. They were very friendly + the service was extremely quick. I myself tried a plain slice and garlic knots and was very surprised with just how good it was. Will definitely come by many more times in the future. Please come try!

Elegante Pizzeria: A Slice of Classic Rockaway
​Elegante Pizzeria on Rockaway Blvd is the quintessential neighborhood Italian spot, offering more than just great food—it's a local institution. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Cheese and Pepperoni Pie. It was a perfect example of classic New York pizza: the crust was delightfully thin and had a wonderfully crisp undercarriage that held up beautifully to the generous, fresh mozzarella.

Pizza is great. Price is criminal. $8+ for 2 plain slices? That's not even city prices SMH. Don't get me wrong the pizza is on point. Specialities too. I personally liked the sesame seed covered chicken roll and buffalo pinwheel. I guess it is more Italian restaurant than pizzeria?
