Portion for the chicken combos were large to feed a family but chicken was on the dry side, rice and beans were somewhat cold. Would want to try other combo to see if it's better.

Good food, need to improve the atmosphere.
We met with friends at this restaurant for lunch. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, we were not disappointed. we were warmly welcomed by the staff and we had a fantastic feeling. The food was just great. We loved this place very much and we shall absolutely come back again. Warmly recommended.
Definitely a place worth trying, the food is good and well prepared, the rates are convenient and it is consistently clean in here. Kudos.
Their food is very good. Check out their specials for lunch. Rice and beans with pork or chicken delicious.
Be looking for Spanish food the great place for it clearly you can see there's some of the sick in the atmospheres just Pleasant
This spot is excellent and broad, the menu was delightful and the prices were very inexpensive. quickly, productive service and very attentive staff members. Highly recommended.
Good Spanish food, could maybe use something to liven up the atmosphere inside
My wife and I love this spot when we are in Rockaway; after a day of surfing. Excellent food, reasinable price, and family-like customer service.

This food is amazing please everyone needs to come here the service is great and trust me wayyyyyy better than other unseasoned restaurants on the block! The one in the 90s is great too! Food is always on point! Period!!!!!
Dominican food at its best.
Great food and service, watch soccer while enjoying a delicious baked chicken and black beans and rice.
Please avoid this over-expensive, really nasty-service place !! When this place started on 116 st about a year ago, I went almost three times a week, if not more. While the food was not spectacular, it was clean, tasty, convenient and VALUE for money....good portions, good price. Then, they got VERY GREEDY....especially the women folk!! When they first started you got rice, beans and meat for a small portion for $5.....and it was a generous portion. The construction guys building on 116th put them on the map, because they were mostly Hispanic, and they would get these overflowing portions, which these folks would wrap up in tinfoil. Then, they got so used to the money pouring in, that they decided to bite the hand that was feeding them. My last day in there, was when one of the two nasty young girls, (both daughters of the female owner), actually put back more than half the spoon of beans, and put exactly 9 beans on my portion (I counted)....and then rudely told me the price had gone up to $7, while the portion size went down. I second the other reviewers who also experienced these nasty girls discuss the customers they were fleecing, by speaking in Spanish....and yes, I too understood every word. The cook, the father of the non-braces girl, and maybe the husband of the female owner....Rafael...is a nice man and a good cook. It's a shame he is saddled with these women who will eventually bring this business to its knees. It's the customers who made them profitable.....we can bankrupt them as well. Just take your business elsewhere.
The place is clean, staff is courteous, prices are reasonable, the food is really delicious and cooked fresh dailey. I have been there many times. I also recommend this place if you're looking for good food for parties.
