I've been waiting for this kind of place to come to Rockaway. It's what it needed. Truly a gem. B116th Rockaway just got bumped up with this place. Welcoming atmosphere, ambiance perfect, excellent choice of menu and the drinks keep flowing. Great live music too or DJ. I enjoy having my night caps here and a place to relax. AMAZING jazz afternoon, nice dinner and chill drinks, staff was nice and kind, menu is short and written fresh on a chalk board. Band was done by 10pm. Totally recommend if in the area.

If I could rate this establishment lower, I would. Unfortunately, it has become a significant disturbance for nearby residents. Music is frequently played at extremely high volumes well beyond the hours typically considered reasonable for a mixed-use neighborhood, often on weeknights. This appears to be in conflict with New York City’s noise ordinances and has made it difficult for locals to enjoy peace and quiet in their own homes.
The general atmosphere around the venue tends to be quite rowdy. Patrons are often loud and inconsiderate of the surrounding community, especially during late-night hours. The energy feels more like an impromptu nightclub than a responsibly managed bar.
This review is based on the ongoing experience of trying to live near this location. If you’re hoping for a peaceful evening or uninterrupted sleep, this might not be the ideal area. I sincerely hope the management takes steps to better coexist with the neighborhood in the future.

I love this bar. The food ??! SO GOOD ! And the kitchen is open til 2am ! Those chefs definitely know their way around a pot and spatula I’ll tell you that! Only thing I can say is I wish they had a larger variety of drink options but one thing about Kat she’s going to improvise and make an amazing drink regardless! There’s another guy that works there I forget his name but he’s also super nice and chill. Definitely making my way back again and again !

Without question, this is my favorite bar in the borough!! Run by a local with decades of experience on both sides of the bar, this is a great place to have a drink and a conversation. There are occasional events like comedy and live music, but it's typically a quiet bar for adults. The hours are consistent, something very uncommon for businesses in this area. It's open every day except Tuesday, year-round. It's not just for the summer ferry crowd. The food is absolutely spectacular! Honestly, this place has some of the best food at some of the best prices in New York City. The lobster roll is definitely THE BEST lobster roll you will find south of Rhode Island. Nothing in the city or the Hamptons is comparable. Stop here before you take the A-Train home!
