A hidden gem on the Rockaways, the outdoor sitting is beautiful over looking NYC on the bay, the service is great, the food is tasty, from lobster rolls to tacos, and great drinks!

POC beware! First the positives: 1) the view of the city is lovely, especially at sunset. 2) the host/manager, Tara was very gracious and warm. She let us know that because we arrived just before sunset, we may have to wait for a bit to be seated. we sat at the outdoor bar 3) the bartender had a great sense of humor and was very helpful 4) drinks were OK although the sauvignon blanc tasted more like cheap warm beer, great price 5) parking is plentiful both behind the restaurant and on the street
Where there is serious room for improvement… today was the third time I visited the wharf. the first time was a good enough experience. the food was OK at best (sandwiches, mozzarella sticks, fried calamari)… nothing to write home about. The second and third times I visited, we were completely ignored by the servers. Important to note that we were one of two families of color tonight (there was an Asian family sitting across from of us tonight and we are Latino). Servers made eye contact with us on multiple occasions but never even offered of us a glass of water. Tonight, we waited 45 minutes for service after we were seated and were ignored the whole time. As a Queens native, it’s heartbreaking to witness explicit discrimination in our borough. When we spoke with the host about our concerns, she did pull the classic, “no, no, I have a Dominican relative” which was also disappointing and sounded too much like “I can’t be racist! I know someone who’s Black/Hispanic/Native/Asian”… which in 2024 just sounds so tired and out of touch.

Mediocre minus “restaurant “ if you can call this place a restaurant , expensive as hell for the pure trash they serving there,frozen mussel and grocery store hero with butter do me a favor. Service running by 15 y.o kiddo who doesn’t know much about service, not blaming him. Over all under whelming food, unprofessional service, and very expensive, also if you’re not white don’t expect to get any attention from the waitress. 0 out of 10
