This place is so good it almost makes you mad.. like damn it everything is good. 😉 Your greeted with what feels like a family atmosphere.. the kind you remember but can't find in too many places anymore. Anthony and Chris along with the rest of the staff do an amazing job of serving, hosting and making sure you know that they have a bunch of pie options.. The lobster roll was fresh tasty and the perfect amount. The Shrimp cocktail was great. But make sure you try the hot apple crumb with vanilla ice cream.. This is someone's grandma's recipe.it has to be.. there is a perfect combo of apples and cinnamon..Going back again and again..
Best fried clams really good clam chowder. Fresh fish..
Best Place of its Kind !!!! Old school Vibe....
My uncles treated our family to lunch at Bigelow's New England Fried Clams, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. It's easy to see why this local favorite has been serving guests since 1939. The restaurant was spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the fried calamari, which was perfectly tender, lightly breaded, and full of flavor. My uncle ordered the cold lobster roll while I chose the hot lobster roll with butter, and both were fresh, generously filled, and excellent. My wife ordered the crab cakes, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Every dish was prepared with care, and the quality really stood out. If you've never been to Bigelow's, make it a point to visit. And if you have been before, it's definitely worth coming back again. This is a classic New England seafood restaurant that has earned its reputation over the decades!

Came here for a good lobster roll. Checked out the photos on their website and it looked pretty good. The ones we were served were no where near as big or full as they pictured them and were ridiculously priced at $45.99 which of course isn’t on the menu. The lobster was tough and overcooked and it was so small it was all of four small bites. We were so disappointed and felt robbed. Not planning on going back. For the price I paid here I could’ve had a full three course meal.
Owner replied he’s sorry for the bad experience and hopes we’ll come back again which is definitely not happening. I spent $144 including tax and tip for 2 very small and not well made or even full lobster rolls, flavorless fries a cup of clam chowder and two ginger ales. Now reading the complaints about the price of these lobster tails being ridiculous and the owner still not fixing the problem and sends out his sorry you had a bad experience reply but keeps doing the same thing. No thanks!!!!!!!!

Quick friendly service, fried items are fried in clean oil - tastes so fresh and pure. Grilled shrimp as well.
Both healthy and indulgent items available
The clam chowder and ambiance were excellent, but the entrees were grossly overpriced. The fried clams were not much of a meal, and $47! (Price was not listed on the menu.) Beware!
Fantastic customer service and The clam chowder and fried buffalo shrimp is to die for!!!

Been here a few times and the service is always great and the food is perfect. Stopped by yesterday and had to wait a few minutes for a table. I began to chat with Anthony who was very pleasant and friendly. Food was on point like always. Will be back soon!

Best seafood around
This place is so good. I moved out of Long Island a year ago, and every few months I get weepy that I can’t satisfy my Bigelow’s craving. I’d been coming here for over twenty years with my family.
Do get their fried shrimp platter and a hot bowl of New England clam chowder with it. Squeeze a lemon in the chowder, then dip your shrimp in the chowder, and come back to thank me later. The shrimp dipped in tartar sauce and then cocktail sauce is also bangin.
I also recommend their coleslaw for some freshness in between the fried food.
PS: Their tartar sauce is the best I’ve ever had, and I haven’t been able to replicate it. I miss it so much, nothing has come close.
Recommended dishes: New England Clam Chowder White and Creamy, Tartar Sauce, Cole Slaw
