This is the quintessential Dinner/Cafe. Took my grandkids out for breakfast and it was instantly a family breakfast with the staff making us feel like we were a part of their family, interacting with both the grandchildren and us... the old ones.
We had a lovely time at a very reasonable price.

I stopped by CJ’s Coffee Shop with some decent expectations, but I walked away feeling underwhelmed — not so much by what I ordered, but by what I paid for it. $13 got me something that felt more in line with what I might pick up from a bodega or a corner deli, not from an established eatery in Rockville Centre.
I understand that with a lot of restaurants, sometimes you're paying more for the ambience than the food. But in this case, I didn’t feel like I got either. There was nothing particularly memorable or special about the experience to justify the price.
To be clear, I’m not necessarily upset with the food itself — it was passable — but it didn’t match the cost or the expectations set by the setting. I am still curious to try other items on the menu, but I have to admit I’m hesitant now.
Also worth noting: parking in the area isn’t great, which only adds to the overall frustration.

It's been a while since I have been to CJ's. Didn't feel like old times. Food was good, but service was less than enthusiastic (just felt blah).
Not sure I'll head back anytime soon.

Just not the same after new ownership. Have had multiple bad experiences here since new owners took over. So disappointing. This used to be a Rockville Centre tradition. Not anymore. The staff is extremely rude and the service sucks now. I have had enough and will never return here.

Service was terrible. I had to wait 15 minutes for the egg sandwich. Was only 1 other person in the dinner so didn't understand why it took so long and they charged $7.00 for it, which is way to much especially when most other dinners in the same area charge $5.00. Will never go back. And the help didn't wear protective gloves which is not sanitary.
