Very slow

Nice clean place. The food is not tasty at all. The rice was like pudding- you don’t need to chew. The oxtail has that nice browning texture but absolutely no flavor. This is not your authentic Jamaican food. Only on Long Island they can getaway with this type of cooking. Waste of money. Customers service is too aggressive. Drinks were another issue! Anyway they need new management, seriously!

It was a pleasure to dine at your establishment. The ambiance was lovely and created a warm atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and prepared with care. Your staff was attentive and provided excellent service throughout the evening. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Drinks were amazing & our server was cool. Unfortunately, the wait time to be serves was too long. 10 minutes into our reservation we were able to place our drink order as well as food. While we waited a group of 4 came in and was promptly served - drinks, appetizers & food. We didn't receive our meal until 90 minutes later. The place was not crowded. When our food finally came, we took it to go. After all of that the food was cold. Date night with the hubby was ruined. The chef came out to apologize & we were given an adjustment on the bill. I'll be taking my Sunday dinner to work for lunch.

I ate here a few times and really enjoyed it but only eating in. When I order take out I get very tough oxtail and tough curry goat this is the 2nd time this has happen too

My my what can I say about the team at Dunns River besides BRAVO!!! We partnered with them to fully cater an event for us with about 120 people. We spoke directly with two amazing folk Trish & Nala that were incredibly informative & communicative throughout the whole process. It was a short amount of time between the setup and the event but they still passed with flying colors. On the day of everything was taken care of and presented in such a magnificent way. All of our guests were raving about not only the taste of the food but the quality of the service. I have another event coming up and will be speaking to them about same. I applaud you Trish, Nala and the whole Dunns River Team. Thank you for helping us out and making our event special.

Vegetarian options: Brown Stew Tofu and Veggie Stew are great options!

So we went to Dunn’s river lounge yesterday for dinner it was EMPTY. So this guy posing to be the mgr. yesterday said do u have reservations, I said no. He said well I can’t seat u because everything is booked. IT WAS EMPTY. I said huh. He said yes ppl are starting to come at 6pm. We were there at 4:14pm it was plenty of time to eat and leave. He just didn’t wanna sit us for whatever reason. I will never eat here again. Dunn’s will nvr get my money. Very unprofessional.

I want to believe there was a staff shortage because my wife & I didn't receive our appetizers or food until a hour & 15 mins after being seated . My wife said the fish was very dry & she has a stomach ache this a far drop off from the previous tines we visited Dunns river I'm shocked. Atmosphere was pleasant & music was good tho that was a positive but overall poor .

This is my second visit to Dunns River and hasn’t disappointed. Excellent food, great atmosphere, and Shari our waitress is so pleasant and helpful. If my hubby and I lived closer, we’d come here more often. I wish there was one in Suffolk County.

Parking can be tricky, as it’s metered parking out front. Not sure if there is free parking near by, but after 6 weekdays, the parking is free on the street.
Try the pineapple ginger. Made with real pineapple and ginger. ?

1st time there. My date and I had a good time. Greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant & seated immediately. Our waitress was very pleasant, the food came out in no time. I'd definitely come back again

I always love coming to Dunn's and have been doing so for years! My sister and her husband is visiting from Trinidad. We came lastnight to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The ambience, food and service is always great! I would recommend this place to anyone!

I ate goat in dunns river before, first time I ate goat that is curry style!! goat was spicy, and also tasty at the same time
