To be honest this used to be my go to spot for rotis but they service got so poor. I had a few hiccups with them. First incident is when I bought a beef roti, when I got in the car I kept smelling this scent but I didn’t pay no attention to it but when I got home and I opened it up my kids asked me what that scent was I was like wow that’s the scent I been smelling. The roti was soooo offff. I took it back to the store and upon returning it I told the girl at the front the roti smells so she called the person In charge from the back the lady then began to tell me oh she can’t smell anything she don’t know what I talking about etc. she was so rude then she asked the girl to the front to smell it, when she smelled it she looked at me and softly told the lady it does smell and that I was right. The lady that was in charge looked at her so nasty. I asked for my money back she told the girl to give me and walked off grumbling. Btw this was only one of my bad experiences I would leave the story about the German roaches and the hair for another time.

The food is good, but they are never ready! Why have your door open from 8, 9, 10 am and you're STILL not serving customers...Today I went at 12:30 pm, door is locked. No sign, no clue what time anyone is coming back. I'm just going to give up trying.I end up giving my money to the deli next door since the roti shop doesn't want mine.

This was not the roti we were expecting but WOW was it exactly the roti we needed. So delicious. Between my husband and I we ate the majority of the menu and it was all good. Each item worked as standalone components as well as a coordinated whole. The staff here is lovely and welcoming and was happy to answer all our questions about their food. Personally, I preferred the boneless beef simply so I didn't have to worry about bones however the goat was tender and delicious too. The curry isn't very spicy, just a little spicy, but it is so very flavorful. Douse everything you get with the tamarind sauce and thank me later.

Save your money and go to Richmond Hill for quality Trinidadian food at a cheaper price. This is a buss- up-shut Roti I just bought from them. It smells like it was cooked with oil oil and on a dirty surface. I've never seen anything like this. It is flat,

Place is clean, I couldn’t wait to have a Authentic roti shop step away from my home. But is best it close. They never have breakfast 9,10 or 11 lol over priced and poor quality. No this no that so why are you open? I stop going I can never get a aloo pie. Plus the incense over powers the place.

They didn't have no goat then I wanted to know what is that black thing on the white rice turned out to be a fly and another fly on the fried rice so decided to get doubles cause it was the only thing covered , no access to drinks so don't know what they had I won't go back.

Take out mostly just two small tables inside. Food was good. They only took cash when we went.

As a Trini not asking for too much or the perfect Plate of food.. the food here is simply not up to par. I ordered a veggie roti with buss up skins... they had no spinach so she said she would give me a rice dinner instead. The pumpkin was spicy. The rice was no good. The curry potato wasn't tasty and it was spicy. Just a poor execution. For someone who isn't from the islands and doesn't know the difference... they may like it... but for me the taste just wasn't there. Honestly scale back on the hot pepper. It's overbearing and takes away from the food. Doesn't represent Trini food well at all.

Terrible service as you can see from the various reviews this place should close down it’s just an expensive small hole in the wall shop . A disgrace to Trinidadian food . Worst off every time you go in to order they change the price and have no justification to back it up but to just say “that person doesn’t work here anymore “ . I rather fly to Trinidad than to buy from here again !

Had a wonderful roti. Missed these from my days in Brooklyn as a student. Serving was huge and I am a big guy.My friend like his and the owners let us eat there instead of our car.

VERY DISAPPOINTEDAli's is one of my favorite spots..at least the Utica and Flatbush locations. The new young lady they have at the counter is very nice, however she is VERY CHEAP and does not give you what you pay for. She gave me pure roti skin, a little dollop of potato. I have NEVER had a roti so skimp from Ali's EVER, in the 10+ yrs eye been eating there. Yall gotta do better with the servings, especially when yall the most OVER PRICED of the Ali's chains. Smmfh. Very disappointed. Hopefully re-training can happen. Still wish u all the best.
