Kikelomo Amusa-Shonubi
Small café, but very bright, clean, and airy. There was was a small loveseat, a couple barstools, one or two cafe tables with 2 seats, a bench with a cushion and 3 café tables out on the sidewalk. Came in about 1:30pm, and were greeted warmly. Almost all of the pastries were gone, but the cheese with fig danish and the plain croissant they had left were good. We also tried the matcha lemonade, strawberry matcha and a hot black sesame latte. I liked the sesame latte A LOT, the strawberry was good, and I personally hated the lemonade, but that is a personal preference thing. The good thing about it is it isn't too sweet, but it was heavy on the matcha, so it tasted like liquid grass to me. I definitely like nuttier sencha tea better. The prices were average for the area, and since everything is pricey now, it is what it is.
There were other patrons there, busily working and looked like they had been there for quite a while, which tells me it may be a good place to sit and focus for an hour or two.
My party of three sat outside and because it is located in a predominantly residential area, it was a nice place to sit since there aren't tons of pedestrians. There were a few bees/wasps though, so we had to leave after a bit(highly allergic). There were also mosquitos and lantern bugs around--I suspect there is some standing water on a roof nearby.
I will definitely walk over here again to get that sesame latte, and maybe stay and pretend looking productive. But I'll definitely come back.

I adore the orange blossom latte!! So lovely, I'm loving it for fall right now because I'm not a PSL gal. It's perfectly floral and a little more unique than rose or lavender
There is seating inside and lots of books or other fun items to read or look at. While I was waiting for my order, I pulled an oracle card from an Artists from History deck - sweet local spot! Definitely going to become a beloved spot in Bushwick

great drinks, cool interior, they have a ton of vintage magazines, books, street fighter mini arcade machine, sailor moon entire vhs set, plus always fast and friendly, just wish they were open later in the afternoon

walked in and there was live jazz. got the black sesame latte and orange blossom matcha latte soooooo good. such unique flavors that aren’t too sweet and pair well together. owner was so sweet. you can tell there is a passion for baking and community. gave us a free matcha strawberry cookie

Love this place, I went there because all of the good reviews, I had the Rocketfuel coffee, it was amazing!! I loved the maple flavor, the owner of the cafe was so welcoming as well and very down to earth ! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who passes by!

The inside is nicely decorated plus they have outdoor seating and they are dog friendly. They also have a mini Marvel superheroes arcade machine inside at the window.
The staff is SUPER friendly.
You can do credit card payment at the register. Their chocolate croissant tastes fresh. The inside is soft, the outside is flaky. The chocolate tastes semisweet and good. It's like dark chocolate.
They have a crazy looking strawberry matcha cookie. It has the green tea bitterness with some strawberry inside. Would recommend to any crazy matcha person. For regular people it'll be too much flavors.
Cappuccino taste standard and smooth, rating 7 out of 10.
Cold brew with ice 8/10 It's strong and cold so it will wake you up and cool you down at the same time
This is a good place to hang out for the vibe because it's relaxing.
