Thank you for last night Picked up my order at 830pm The fried whiting dinner & sandwich was cooked to perfection the fish was fried well not salty & not hard Kudos to the cook also enjoyed the potato salad Mac& cheese & collards was also excellent Kudos to the cook. Very pleasant front person will tip the next time I come Loved it

Well, first, the cornbread is awesome! After that, I wasn't really impressed. Everything we really wanted, they didn't have. It was not like it was late in the day. It was actually pretty early. We placed the order, and it took about 30 -40 mins for it to be ready. The turkey wings were a bit chewy? Which to me wasn't cooked long enough. The collard greens were okay. My fiancee had the fish. They didn't have the fries. I didn't care for the cake in the jar. It was a little dry. I spent a good amount of money. But the food was really not worth what we paid. The customer service, though, was great. The young man was very nice. But, don't just take my word. Please try it for yourself. I am just really picky ?

I don't even know where to begin so let me start off when you walk in it smells great. I'm not gonna lie either the server had an attitude seemed kind of annoyed that we came although it was 2 hours before closing and they weren't busy at all. But boy oh boy that smell I mentioned in the beginning is deceiving. I spent $40 the prices are reasonable but not for $40 to go in the garbage. So we ordered fried fish The taste was HORRIBLY indescribable. The turkey wings were not cooked they needed about another 45 minutes, The The sweet potatoes were potatoes but they weren't sweet Even though I let them go on that because sweetness is a matter of opinion, The collard greens were disrespectful like who leaves all of those big stems in a collard greens? Seriously you can't enjoy that. The Mac because out of respect for food I couldn't possibly call it Mac and cheese so like I said the Mac was missing the cheese. Oh I thought I was finished but I'm not that Tatar sauce was so disrespectful I don't know what type of recipe that was but they left something out. Now I must say I have to save the best for last because the corn bread was the most decent thing ordered. I've been giving reviews for quite some time and I've never posted a picture but I will now. Lastly I would love to support this place but I just can't so with that being said I give it one star because I can't give it less. THIS TASTE LIKE IT CAME FROM FREDERICK'S SOUL HOLE WHERE THER SUN DON'T SHINE.

Based on the positive reviews, I decided to try this place. I ordered whiting and chicken. The whiting was lightly seasoned and ok. It came with potato salad and peas and rice. The rice was flavorful, the salad was passable. However, the chicken was burnt. I mean almost black. This just supports my sister ‘s contention that I have to travel to Harlem for decent fried chicken. Will not be back.

The food here is delicious!! I got the whiting with Mac and Yams and my bf got 10 piece wings with Mac and Yams. The best part is that the meats were cooked made to order and they used fresh whiting filets and not the frozen ones. We drove all the way fromNassau County and couldn’t be more pleased.We will be back :)

I went here craving fried fish and they did not disappoint! The fish is made by order so it’s hot and fresh! Portion size are enough for leftovers. The best apart about is they don’t use that pack fish and I love that! The sides are amazing. Best soul food spot in queens!

I hate when southern restaurants use accent seasoning. It gives people heart palpitations. I had ur food for the first time 2day and it was delicious. I love to support my people ❤️

The food is good but we only try to come on the weekends because the customer service is terrible during the week . The young lady that answers the phone is rude .. and seems like she doesn’t want to be there I ordered the six piece wing and asked if I could have all flats she told me she didn’t kno .. and was very dismissive about it ..when I called and asked again for her to ask if it could be done because she “wasn’t sure “ she told the cook with a attuide “ I told her no “ no you told me you weren’t sure why would I call back of you were sure .. like I said the food is good but the customer service during the week is trash

I have been here several times and was never disappointed by the food... UNTIL TODAY?. The catfish was delicious which is why they received 2Stars, but the mac&cheese was horrible. No flavor, no consistency,it didn't even look tasty. I ordered collard greens, but received yams that had a bitterness which made things worse. I should have known this was going to be a bad experience when I placed my phone order because the young lady sounded like taking orders was disrupting was she was doing.
