This is a super delicious place in a quiet town near Kingston. I have been here twice in the last week, both times for the Hijiki (seaweed salad) and the Spicey Tuna & Avocado Bowl. My friend had the Bento Box with Mackerel. Everything ridiculously fresh - like being transported back to a favorite spot in Japan. If I lived here, it would be my second home ?

What a unique and amazing experience! The drinks, appetizers and entrees were all terrific. And I can't say enough about how special this place is where you can play games as your meal is prepared and served by one amazing person!

A true hidden gem. The food is simply perfect and the ambiance is enchanting. There's a surprisingly large Japanese style garden stretching from the restaurant to the river you can enjoy before or after the meal. This place is a one man show run by its owner, so service will naturally be slower. Try to call ahead and let the owner know when and how many will be coming.

Went with a family group, the restaurant was so hospitable. We originally made reservations for outdoor dining but it started to rain just before we arrived and they were happy to seat us inside instead. A nice collection of games kept the kids happy, allowing the adults to enjoy the food in peace. Portion sizes are relatively small, some of us ordered entrees to share with the kids, but ended up ordering a few more appetizers to fill in the gaps. One entree per person and a couple of appetizers to share would be plenty. Food was delicious, especially the fresh tofu and the beef stew. The kids appreciated the French fries with curry sauce. Will definitely to go back and enjoy the patio seating!Parking: Parking in municipal lot is right across the street. There is an EV charging station there as well. On a rainy Sunday evening Rosendale was very quiet, might be busier at other times of day.

Elegant simple menu with a variety of quality Japanese style dishes. The small menu made it easy to pick yet there is something for everyone. Given the select items, this must be a key factor in why each dish was a 10 out of 10 flawless and tasty.Kid-friendliness: Has a nice covered back deck, with board games.

Came here tonight and the owner was also the waitress, the chef, the bartender. I didn't really know what I walking into, but this place lives up to all the 5-stars. The cooking is the real deal. It's got a cute vibe too, nice music, it's a nice treat to have a place like this all the way in Rosendale.
