this place is adorable and the food is just... wow. excellent. so good. I highly recommend any burritos or quesadillas (the café red sauce is scrumptious!!) overall, a great little place I'll definitely be coming back to!

First of all, the hours of operation listed on Tripadvisor for Rosendale Cafe are incorrect as of 2022. It closes on Sunday at 6pm and remains closed on Mon and Tues. It is no longer ever open til 10 pm, closing at 8 pm (except Sunday when it closes at 6 pm) even during the summer when the sun doesn't set til 8:30 pm, even on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Weekends-- closed for most of those weekends. Want to sit outside and have a relaxed summer meal as the sun sets and the moon rises? -- forget about it-- the place is closed or closing. Used to be that entrees came with a side salad with a choice of 2 kinds of house made salad dressing and some Bread Alone bread with pats of butter-- no more, unless you remember to ask and are willing to pay more. Used to be that you could select from several types of wine-- no more, just some single servings of wine in cans-- yes, cans. I asked if the "Bubbly" as the server called it was sweet or dry-- she had no idea, and no one at the restaurant had any idea, and the info on the can didn't say. Used to be one could select a margarita cocktail made with lime juice or with coconut milk-- now it's just the coconut version they will serve you-- guess it's too difficult for staff to refrain from adding coconut milk and just keep it to the lime juice, for some reason. The cafe features a lovely wooden bar, but no bartender and the rather strange version of margarita is the only cocktail the Cafe offers. What a missed opportunity. When my companion and I arrived on a Friday night, the staff inside said we could pick a table outside, as we wanted to sit outside, and a server would come. One quickly did and asked what we wanted as the restaurant was about to close-- it was 7:45 on a summer Friday night. No one had given us menus. Made it a bit hard to comply with her order to order promptly. I was hoping to get a spinach and feta wrap-- that was no longer on offer, so I ordered their spinach and feta burrito. The burrito was large and well stuffed-- with rather too salty black beans in one side, a ton of melted feta in the other side of the burrito, and emerald spinach on the top. The best part was the spinach. The filling wasn't particularly blended together, and reminded me of a vegetarian version of diner food. My partner enjoyed his favorite-- the Mission Burrito which features beans, cheese, and brown rice-- but we both missed the salad and bread. In short, the quality and array of choices have gone downhill, and as for al fresco dining-- safer during covid, and lovely to do in summer-- unless you like an early bird dinner in the heat of the day, it's a rushed and now overpriced dining experience.

Such a great lunch! While everything was wonderful, the cauliflower bites and coconut limeade really stood out. The sauce on the cauliflower was delicious, spicy but not terribly hot. Right amount of sweetness. The coconut limeade was thick and rich (which we hadn’t anticipated), but in a good way. It was really refreshing. We brought my dog and really enjoyed the outdoor seating. The service was also very good despite how busy it was on Juneteenth and Father’s Day .

Stopped by after a visit to the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary. Great menu with lots of vegetarian and vegan options -- made with whole foods! Really delicious and will go back next time I'm in the area.

Delicious food and excellent service. I had the brown rice burger wrap and my husband had the buffalo cauliflower. We enjoyed both. This cafe also has a cute little shop with random trinkets and food.

Loved my vegan gyro, and it was warm enough to enjoy the food out back. Wish I could have stayed longer to work on the community puzzle but hopefully I will be back! :)

I’ve been here twice and each time it was exceptional. The food is very well prepared and unique, has a home cooked and fresh feel. Also, the cafe itself is charming and welcoming. Highly recommend.

What a treat it was to have come here for dinner with our group of 4. My wife and I are vegan and our friends were open to new things. All things are vegetarian on the menu, but they all can be made vegan which is awesome! The mushroom stroganoff and cauliflower buffalo wings were fantastic. My wife had the zen plate which was equally as enjoyable. Can't wait to go back and try new things. Our friends both ordered black bean quesadilla which they loved. We sat on the patio since they are only doing take out and outside seating. They brought the food and service was great, just remember to wear mask inside at this time. We also got one giant piece of double chocolate cake (vegan) and it was a little dry inside, but the frosting made up for it. Not killer sweet which is what we like and it did not sit on my stomach like a rock. I encourage you to try this if your vegan or even open to the idea, will not disappoint.

Great spot to eat. We live 5 mins away and we're there every Sunday for brunch after hitting the Rosendale Farmer's Market. Great food. Amazing staff. Highly recommend.
