Mahal does not serve Indian ‘food'; they serve Indian CUISINE! This was a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is beautifully done and the staff is friendly and well-trained. The menu is extensive and there is always someone who is most happy to offer explanations or suggestions. Not your typical indian restaurant, a step above the rest. Decor is pleasant, food it great. I went with my friend who does not like "hot" spicy food and they were able to cater to her needs. The duck roll appetizer and lamb shank dishes had wonderful flavor. Highly recommended.

Without a doubt, the finest Indian restaurant on Long Island. The food is extraordinary- try the duck "egg rolls" appetizer and the lamb and vindaloo was superb! The sisters are awesome waitresses, so kind and friendly!
