If you have only one night to spend on Long Island, this is the place. The new My Fathers Place is THE best place to see a concert on LI. The room is intimate and the sound is fantastic. And the menu far surpasses any other music venue. It's Indian-influenced and everything I've tasted is great especially at the low price-point.Imagine, half a century ago, Michael Epstein opened up the original MFP and it stands as the finest music venue perhaps anywhere. Eppy definitely belongs in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.Eppy, you've hit a home run

The hotel has excellent and courteous desk service, responding to our many needs as we were hosting a few families. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and our harbor side rooms were quiet. One of our room’s hvac system was not working well and another room had loose plumbing fixtures. We mentioned these things to staff, but did not want them repaired during our hectic visit. The breakfast was slow and very expensive. With such an easy walk to charming Roslyn, you can find an amazing bakery with breakfast offerings; there is also short drive west to a huge diner.
I stayed 08/05-08/07/23. They got me in a room right away which I had appreciated. The staff were great. Saturday night I discovered brown towels behind the chair. It was quite disgusting and I went to the front desk. The man came to my room and took them. I contacted the manager and was told I would get 5000 points which amounts to $30. Instead of a comp to my brother who paid for the room this is what they would do. If you get makeup on their towels it will cost you $150 for each one. I think the Hiltons should do the right thing. I know I will not be staying at any Hilton again. You are paying far the name which is supposed to be held in high regard. God knows they they are people of privledge and this would be totally unacceptable to them I don’t understand how they think we should tolerate it.
Pros: - Comfortable bed (nice pillows) - Late checkout (12pm) - Good location for downtown Roslyn - Tasty breakfast Cons: - Musty smell in room - Expensive breakfast - Bad coffee - Sign indicating that they would charge you $150 for makeup stained towels (the towels were ok but not worth that much) - This was an unwelcoming sign
We arrived around noon & check-in not til 3pm so we had to wait for our room to be ready. All the front desk staff were very nice (esp Rose) and got us into our room about an hour early. The room was a good size and very clean. It's well appointed with a fairly comfortable bed and very comfortable pillows. The bathroom was updated and a good size and again, vey clean. Small fridge & keurig coffee maker in room was very convenient. Our room was 320 and it seemed to be in a quiet location. We came for a wedding, but we never heard any real noise and slept comfortably. There is a restaurant and the Bistro, which has a beautiful bar area. There is ample parking both above & below ground. All in all, a very comfortable stay and an excellent staff.
We booked the Roslyn Hotel as our wedding block for our wedding weekend, and we are so thrilled with the staff and hotel! The hotel is lovely and full of charm and character, with very comfortable beds. Kelly who we worked with for booking was very helpful and aided in preparing a smooth weekend, and Alexa at the front desk was so friendly and lovely to us and all of our guests! The large suite was perfect for the girls getting ready with windows and lots of space. We were given champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in our wedding suite, and parents were treated to macarons which was a sweet surprise! Thank you for helping to make our wedding weekend so memorable!
This very nice Hotel in very good location. We stayed here many times because it is very close to our family and friends. Rooms are comfortable and staff very helpful. Walking distance to few very good restaurants and food in Hotel is also good.
When we arrived at 3 pm , we could already hear through the walls the wedding parties in the rooms surrounding us. We figured it would be worse after the weddings. We didn’t even bother coming back after our party, we were lucky enough to stay with family instead. The reviews are correct that the walls are thin and you can hear everything. Rooms need updating and the shower handle needed holing up to get very hot water. I did think the room was spacious and bed was comfortable but didn’t stay that long .
This is a truly horrible place. We’ve stayed here 6 times because it’s the only one of 2 hotels in Roslyn and it’s less than five mins drive from our daughter’s house. Never again even if we have to drive for forty five mins to get to her. It just gets worse and more expensive every time. What’s wrong with it? First, some of the desk staff are rude and defensive because they know how bad the place is. There are no accommodations here for regular guests or even Hilton Gold customers (which we are). There are some good staff members - Tim the maintenance man (who is kept very busy trying to fix things that he admits can’t be fixed) and on of the younger men who saves breakfast in the restaurant. One or two people at the desk try. Second, the rooms next to the street have very old air conditioners that make a terrible noise that keeps you up at night. So we started to book on the more expensive side (with the alleged “lake view”) just so we could sleep at night. Third, the beds are terrible. They give no support and in some rooms you can feel the springs. Fourth, if you stay there on weekends, the hotel is very crowded because hosting events is the mainstay if their business. I’ve stood there and listened to event guests being quoted rates at 100 dollars a day less than me. So I’m supplementing them. But what is worse is the amount of noise they make. Another enemy of sleep. Fifth, let me tell you about the experience that was the last straw for us. We booked on a very busy weekend because that was when we were scheduled to see our grandchildren. A month before we came a booking opened up in a queen size room only at the incredible sum of $400 a night for Friday and Saturday. We couldn’t get in anywhere else in Roslyn so we took it. The room was on the ground floor with a small window so high above our heads, it seemed windowless. It was dark and dank. It was barely large enough to house the queen bed. But worst of all it had two steps in the middle which is a hazard to guests at night. I don’t know how the hotel’s public liability insurer allows it to book that room out at all. There must be some limits to this hotel’s greed. When I complained the duty manager said very generously that she would cancel my booking at no charge. She couldn’t give me a better room even if I paid more than 400 a night. She also didn’t give me any discount in response to my obvious shock at the condition of the room. It is the worst room I have stayed in since I travelled to Europe on $10 a day as a college student. I feel we were conned into taking this room. I was entitled to believe it would only be as bad as the other rooms I had slept in before, not much worse. Sixth, the hotel is not particularly clean and has lots of deferred maintenance. It is a depressing place to stay, especially when you consider how much you’re paying. Believe all the bad reviews you read on this site. I don’t know how this hotel keeps its Hilton membership or it’s stars. It just cheapens the Hilton brand and causes me concern about the brands consistency.

Will never stay here again. Average room. Overpriced. Ate at the lobby lounge bc here on work and didn’t want to go out. Asked what the drink special was. Bartender asked what I liked and made me a drink. Got tab and the DRINK SPECIAL was $15. Not sure he spoke good English. I will be back in NY for work for several weeks and this is the LAST place I will stay. Bait and switch. And the food wasn’t that great either. Rooms are outdated.
Beware: many of these rooms are connected to an adjacent room with a door that lets every little sound come through. The first night it was a TV, the second was LOUD conversation that went on till — yes, 4 a.m. despite repeated pleas to the front desk to do something. The lack of sympathy for our plight was palpable. One of my worst nights in a hotel in 30 years.
The hotel shows signs of its age. The bed is very comfortable and the staff are super friendly. Be advised that there is no housekeeping services (at least for short 2-3 day stays), so you have to request things like in room coffee refills as needed.
For our wedding we did a hotel block at Roslyn Tapestry. The first two assistants were delayed with responses but once Kelly M. and Stephanie L. were involved it was amazing customer service. Our suite was clean, spacious and all amenities worked. With our block, they came and put rose petals, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in our room. It was such a nice touch! They also gave the parents rooms a special touch too with extended check out. They handed out our hotel bags without a problem and upon check out gave us any left over bags. We really enjoyed the boutique style of this hotel. The bar area was nice for our guests to grab a drink before they came to our venue and hang out at the end of the evening. Thank you Kelly for your professionalism and making our wedding weekend spectacular!
I recently got married and we used The Roslyn as our hotel block. From start to finish, dealing with The Roslyn was wonderful. Kelly was so wonderful to deal with, and was so helpful to all of the guests and us in planning our events. Our room was beautiful and our guests had a great experience as well. We also had our Rehearsal Dinner and next day Breakfast at The Roslyn. The dinner was wonderful and the breakfast was amazing too. Kelly was absolutely wonderful, and really went the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience and our guests did too. I really recommend staying at The Roslyn, and please ask for Kelly if you have any potential events at the hotel. She is amazing!!!
