What a cute little shop located in this cute historic area in Roslyn, NY! YOLO Yogurt & Desserts offering just about everything you could imagine and every topping. They have Frozen Yogurt, Crepes, Gelato, Acai Bowls, a variety of beverages and so much more. I ordered a Nutella Crepe with strawberries and grabbed some mineral water. The crepe was amazing and the service was delightful.

The place is cute. Definitely didn’t get a welcoming vibe. The gelato I sampled was ok. The yogurt wasn’t anything special definitely would have been ok without it. The topping station saved the day.All and all great location, good on a warm day,Over priced but for the area I don’t think anyone will be complaining ?

I'm changing up this review, but leaving the original below. I went back in the next day and have concluded that there may be some unhealthy food practices.I walked into YOLO the day after my original review and saw that the attendant was emptying a bucket underneath the frozen yogurt machine, opening the bathroom door and pouring the bucket of water into the toilet, and then putting it back on the frozen yogurt rack to collet more water, then splashing it again into the toilet. I dont know if this is a violation of the health code or not but it was very gross to me - thinking of their hands touching bathroom doors, as well as buckets being right on top of toilets and possibly becoming cross-contaminated with splash back. That, coupled with the owner's inability to accept criticism and fighting negative reviews on all over like he's got a sword instead of hoping to become the perfect sensation he thinks he is, just turns me off and I've deducted a few stars. Not because I want this place to fail - but because I want them to succeed and I'm leaving guidance here instead of calling the health department.Original review:Fun little Main Street shop. But they never pick up the phone. When I finally arrived and asked why, they said "our manager does that." Or if you ask for something out of the ordinary - like a plastic knife - they look at you like you don't make any sense. Yes, I asked for a plastic knife - to cut a banana into my yogurt when I get home. It's not entirely out of the realm of possibility for a frozen yogurt buyer to ask for a knife. :) Got weird vibes from in there - but it's a cute little place. Manager may just want to give their counter staff a little more autonomy. And please answer your phones for non-locals who want to feel the warmth and welcome of a faraway town..

Good Yogurt, Horrible treatment. My 2 year old needed water urgently while coughing heavily from one of the pieces in the gelato - usually we carry a sippy cup - but this time we didn't have it on us, so we asked for water from the tap. Apparently they had no cups. Took a moment for us to figure out there were water bottles in a fridge so we quickly took one.In short - next thing we know the owner Frank came thorough the front door, stood over my husband and said"Do you have a problem""You have nice watch...you should be able to pay for a $2 bottle of water""You are lucky because if I didn't have surgery 2 weeks ago I would knock you out in front of your kids"Frank proceeded to call the police complaining about a quote "Persian man" in the facility needing to be escorted out with the family.I noticed the other reviews below about the owner yelling at people, and with our experience, I can assume they are valid. So, If you are in need of a crepe, gelato or yogurt here...you will have a good product, but do not use too many sprinkles or dare to take water without paying first...or this may happen to you.We were were shocked from this experience after being-long time customers.Kid-friendliness: Owner screamed and frightened my kids & other patrons.

Just stopped by here today because I really wanted some frozen yogurt. This was my first time going there as I am not from here. There are several tables inside with seating for up to 10 people.I wanted some frozen yogurt and was going to get the biggest container they had which was the 1.5 quart, but the guy at the counter warned me it would run me about $25 - $30 which was really expensive. That’s when he explained they charge by the ounce ($1.50/oz?) so the more I put in the container the more expensive it is.I settled for a 16oz container but didn’t fill it all the way up and it ran me about $13 after tax. It was really good and they had a good selection of toppings as well. I would definitely go back again.Parking: There is a municipal parking lot across the street for a fee ($3/hr?) with ample parking.

I love supporting small businesses. The owner is a one man show-- makes the gelato himself, serves it, welcomes the guests-- everything! On top of that, he's just the nicest person and makes the best gelato. I walked in thinking this was some corporate franchise shop, had specific expectations, but was humbled when I realized the blood and sweat that went to curating the coolest boutique dessert shop in the area. Thanks for a great experience!

I went to get a self serve yogurt and did not want it to be runny, so I let a very small amount come out before I put it in my cup. The women who worked there yelled at me and told me we don’t do that here! What? I walked out! Why would I buy watery yogurt…In regards to Owners response - what? Your really crazy!!
